ENGINEERING STUDIES
My choice of study is Information Science and Computer Engineering. It is a field that deals
with harnessing technology to solve real-world problems by applying scientific principles. It
involves understanding computer hardware, programming languages, and creating software
and applications that impact our daily lives. Information Science and Computer Engineering
can help revolutionize health care systems, education and other professions though
software solutions.
The scope of Information Science and Computer Engineering spans various areas like
software development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and computer hardware. Its
applications range from developing websites and apps to enhancing communication systems
and streamlining processes in different industries.
For a developing country like Zambia, embracing Information Science and Computer
Engineering is crucial. It offers opportunities to innovate, create tech solutions for local
challenges, and improve efficiency in various sectors. By nurturing a skilled workforce in this
field, Zambia can boost its technological advancement and competitiveness on a global

Upon completing my Information Science and Computer Engineering studies, my goal is to
return to Zambia and contribute to its growth. Studying in Russia would expose me to
diverse challenges and technological advancements, providing insights that can be adapted
to benefit Zambia. Bringing back these ideas and applying them locally can significantly
