OBJECTIVES:
Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training (BOSH - SO2) aims to equip workers,
particularly those designated as Safety Officer 2, with the knowledge and skills to
ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Here are its general objectives:
Increase awareness and understanding of occupational safety and health (OSH)
principles. This includes the importance of OSH, relevant national data on workplace
accidents and illnesses, and legal frameworks governing OSH.
Empower participants to identify and assess workplace hazards. The training equips
workers to recognize existing and potential safety risks associated with their jobs and
work environment.
Develop skills in hazard control and mitigation. Participants learn about various control
measures to minimize or eliminate workplace hazards and the importance of effective
communication in promoting safety practices.
Provide the foundation for developing and implementing OSH programs. BOSH -
SO2 equips safety officers with the knowledge to create and manage workplace safety
programs specific to their industry and company needs.
Overall, BOSH - SO2 aims to create a culture of safety awareness and equip workers
with the tools to prevent accidents and illnesses in the workplace, fostering a safe and
healthy work environment for everyone.
