Job Purpose

To design, implement, and oversee the company’s data architecture strategy, ensuring that data solutions
align with business goals and technical standards. The Technology Data Architect plays a crucial role in
defining how data is stored, accessed, and utilized, enabling efficient data-driven decision-making across
the organization.

Key Accountabilities

Data Architecture Design:

 Develop and maintain the overall data architecture, including data models, databases, and data
warehouses.
 Ensure data solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.
Data Governance:
 Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, consistency,
and security.
 Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Data Integration:
 Design and implement data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow across various
systems and applications.
 Oversee the development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data
warehousing and analytics.
Collaboration and Leadership:
 Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams to understand data
requirements and deliver effective solutions.
 Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers.
Innovation and Optimization:
 Stay updated with the latest data technologies and trends, and recommend innovative solutions to
enhance data architecture.
 Continuously evaluate and improve data architecture processes and methodologies.

Job Specifications – Qualifications, Experience, Competencies & Skills

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
 Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Certified Big
Data – Specialty) are highly desirable.
 Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
 Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
 Extensive experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing,
and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
 Deep understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality management.
