1. APPERANCE -Unit is CLEAN - with correct labeling. Wash with fresh
AND water.
CLEANLINESS -Unit is PAINTED - no corroded or partially painted areas.
- Walk around unit - check for leaks/damage.
- No loose objects - do not use unit to transport fluids, sacks, or drums.

2. -skid & crash frame – no damage, corrosion, cracks, or


SKID distortion.
OR -shackles, slings, pad-eyes, lugs – check visual &
CRASH FRAME certifications.
-fork lift pocket – check for damage.
-Earth/Ground Cable - in place & connected to stake in ground.

3. -Manifolds - no leaks from valves, end caps, flanged connections.


SUCTION, -Mounting brackets - visually check brackets for damage & cracks.
DISCHARGE -BFVs - handles in place locked and open=open, open/close smoothly
LINES also grease as required.
AND -inserts & discs – visually inspect for corrosion & wear where possible.
MANIFOLDS -Blind caps (2-piece) - in place as required: secured with chain.
-Unions - no burrs on wing nuts.
-Drip trays (if applicable) - check clean with no damage.
-Sample Points - check valve in good condition, no leaks &
drip tray in use.

4. -volute – check for damage, no wear holes.


-test – circulate H2O through pump and verify rotation also
discharge pressure.
CENTRIFUGAL -pressure gauges – verify not damaged and working okay.
PUMP -mountings – check support brackets are secure with no
damage/cracks.
-drain plug – confirm volute drain plug in place, is not
plugged and valve closes.
5. -air over oil reservoir – verify lube oil level to be full.
C-PUMP -oil seals – check oiler cycles as pump is running with no visual leaks.
LUBRICATION -braider/rope packing – check condition & tighten to allow small to no
leak.
PACKING -bearing housing – check oil level or grease (depending on
AND lube system) also check breather in place with good
SEALS condition.

6. CLUTCH -coupling – visually for damage and alignment.


-bearings & u-joints – check lubrication, alignment and for abnormal
AND noise or vibration.
-engage/disengage – verify C- pump starts, rotates in right direction &
DRIVELINE stops.
-gear box – check oil level, to be clean, no leaks also oil fill and drain plugs
in place.

7. -check oil level 2 times, fill to maintain with engine oil as specified.
-oil appearance – not milky or carbonized black color.
ENGINE -no leaks – visually check hoses, connections, filter, and oil sump.
-fuel level – diesel tank 75% full, tank cap in place.
OIL -no leaks - – visually check hoses, connections, and filter.
AND -water contamination – drain water from diesel tank also check the fuel
FUEL filter sight bowls for water content.

SYSTEMS

8. -coolant level – check and maintain to be 2” below filler neck use 50/50
premixed.
RADIATOR -radiator core both sides – to be clean, no leaks and no damage.
AND -fan belts – check tension and condition no cracks.

9. -air filter – remove cover check the element for soot or water.
-filter housing – visual check for dirt or dust and clean as required.
-exhaust blankets/warp – in place and in good condition.
INTAKE -exhaust pipe work – okay with no leaks, connection sound, rain cap in
AND place.

SYSTEMS
10. -Batteries – check electrolyte level, terminals, tied down & surface clean.
-alternator – check belts tension and all wires in place.
-starter – check condition and wiring in place.
-work lights – check for working and clean.
ELECTRICAL - cables and connections – check for loose or broken wires.
SYSTEM -start engine – no problems also check normal engine kill operation.
-Gauges (pressure, temperature, RPM…. etc.) – all working, not broken
AND and clean.
-Emergency kill – test with engine stopped then never forgot to reset the
INSTRUMENTS latch.
