Farees Construction Limited (FCL)

(a sister concern of MAN Enterprise)

FAREES CONSTRUCTION LIMITED (FCL) is an independent engineering construction company with an

objective to provide complete and international standard technical approach in the construction industry
of Bangladesh. Man Enterprise ventured into the construction area as early as 2012 and Farees
Construction Limited (FCL) was formed in 2017 to join the venture. The company was created out of a
vision of Brigadier General AKM Mahfuzul Haque (Retd.), the CEO & MD of Farees Construction Limited,
to serve the nation with top-quality professionals.

FCL consists of a professionals, experts in the development sectors, and experienced management. The
organization have launched country-wide nation-building activities by completing several multi-storied
buildings, hydraulic structures, deep tube wells, water purification plants, irrigation, flood control
projects, etc. FCL is also experienced in constructing piling (situ/bored/caisson), pile cap &retaining
structures etc.

Over the short period after its establishment, FCL gathered experience in different fields, working with
local and foreign experts and management professionals in both government & foreign funded projects
and delivered mentionable construction services. Combining experience with quality, FCL emerged as
one of the top construction firms in Bangladesh. With workmanship and refinement, it earned a
reputation in several sectors involving engineering and technological inputs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FIRM

The primary objectives of Farees Construction Limited were drawn up encompassing the
development of rural industry, the infrastructures like water supply & sanitation, rural roads,
bridges, culverts, drainage-sewerage lines, box-culverts, pipe drains, pump-station, water supply,
schools, hospitals and welfare services, and programs for various other types of development
works.

The major objectives, as have been identified, are:

• To provide technical assistance services to government, semi government, private

sectors, financial institutions, and development partners

• To work in cohesion with the government and the private enterprises in identifying areas
of development, which are vital and crucial

• To develop the sectors of engineering, energy, water, power, transport, communication

and public health sectors, etc.

• To develop rural, urban and regional project implementation

• To strive for quality output of projects in respect of relevance and functionality, as well as
economy

Bangladesh being a predominantly rural economy, the priority need calls for balanced development,
covering the whole gamut of socio-economic life. The scope for economic development, especially in the
rural and allied fields, is almost unlimited. But, the development programs require comprehensive

also for development projects of the country. From the start, Farees Construction Limited aimed at

 Brigadier General AKM Mahfuzul Haque (Retd)
FCL-Managing Director

AKM Mahfuzul Haque served in the Bangladesh Army from January 1978 to January 2012 and
retired as a Brigadier General. As the Managing Director of FCL for the past six years, he has
gathered vast experience in the management of construction and execution of projects in
different sectors, including the Bangladesh Armed Forces. He has multi-dimensioned
networking and associations in various sectors. Brigadier General Mahfuz has established the
company, ensuring adherence to the rules and regulations, quality, and timely operation.

He is a result-driven, motivated and resourceful managing director with a proven ability to

develop and strengthen his teams to execute and implement target-oriented projects efficiently.
He has excellent communication skills and can establish sustainable and rational relationships
with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders within and outside Bangladesh. He was
elected President of Mirpur DOHS Porishod for three consecutive terms and dedicated himself
to improve the lives and livelihood of the residents of Mirpur DOHS.

He is married with two children and two grandchildren.
