TITLE: AIR CONDITIONING - CORRECTION OF LOW AIR FLOW RATE CONDITION

1. Planning Information
A. Effectivity

King Air Model B200, Serials BB-1978, BB-1988 through BB-1994, BB-1996 through BB-2000.
(b) Military

B. Reason

This Service Bulletin is being issued to ensure the function of the airplane environmental control system
"Low" airflow rate option. The environmental control system may only have the "Normal" airflow rate option
due to missing wires.
C. Description
This Service Bulletin provides instructions for insertion of wires in the engine harness between the bleed
air electronic controller connectors and the engine firewall connectors. New wires will be installed using
locally procured wire. Completion of this wiring will allow the function of the "Low" airflow rate option, in
addition to the "Normal" airflow rate option from the flow control packages.

D. Compliance

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation recommends that this Service Bulletin be accomplished at the next
scheduled inspection or within 12 months, whichever occurs first.
E. Approval
The engineering data contained in this Service Bulletin is FAA approved.
Prior to accomplishment, owners/operators of airplanes registered in countries other than the United
States shall consult with their local Aviation Regulatory Authority.
Incorporation of this Service Bulletin restores the airplane to original Type Design.

The following information is for planning purposes only:

M. Warranty Credit
Warranty credit for labor and parts to the extent noted under MANPOWER and MATERIAL will be allowed
on all affected airplanes. Claims for compliance with this Service Bulletin are to be filed as a W3-type claim
against SB 21-4005.
Warranty coverage offered in this Service Bulletin will expire 12 months from the last day of the month this
Service Bulletin is issued. After this date, the owner/operator assumes the responsibility for compliance
cost. Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) reserves the right to void continued warranty coverage in the
area affected by this Service Bulletin until the date the Service Bulletin is accomplished by an HBC
Authorized Service Center (ASC).
The owner/operator should contact an HBC ASC to schedule the warranty work to be accomplished. The
HBC ASC must be rated to perform maintenance on the specific model of Hawker Beechcraft airplane.
The HBC ASC will submit the appropriate paperwork directly to the HBC Warranty Department for
warranty consideration. In the event that work cannot be accomplished at an HBC ASC, parts may be
purchased directly from Hawker Beechcraft Parts & Distribution (HBP&D) and a warranty claim for parts
ONLY should be submitted directly to the HBC Warranty Department.
After the Service Bulletin has been accomplished, a warranty claim must be submitted to HBC within 60
days of the Service Bulletin completion date.

3. Accomplishment Instructions
This Service Bulletin shall be accomplished as follows:

Observe all Warnings and Cautions contained in the airplane manuals


referenced in this Service Bulletin.

Whenever any part of this system is dismantled, adjusted, repaired or


renewed, detailed investigation must be made on completion to make sure
that distortion, tools, rags or any other loose articles or foreign matter that
could impede the free movement and safe operation of the system are not
present, and that the systems and installations in the work area are clean.

SERVICE BULLETIN
A. Airplane

(1) Remove all power from the airplane and disconnect the battery. Display warning notices prohibiting
reconnection of airplane electrical power.
(2) RIGHT ENGINE MODIFICATION
(a) Open the right (outboard) aft upper cowling door to gain access to the firewall connector and the
bleed air electronic controller connector.
(b) Refer to Figures 1 and 3, and install two new wires in the engine wiring harness between the
right engine firewall connector and the bleed air electronic controller connector, in accordance
with MM Chapter 20-12-00 standard wiring practices.
(c) Close and secure the right aft upper cowling door, in accordance with MM Chapter
71-10-00-001.
(3) LEFT ENGINE MODIFICATION
(a) Open the right (inboard) aft upper cowling door to gain access to the firewall connector, in
accordance with MM Chapter 71-10-00-001.
(b) Open the left (outboard) aft upper cowling door to gain access to the bleed air electronic
controller connector, in accordance with MM Chapter 71-10-00-001.
(c) Refer to Figures 2 and 3, and install two new wires in the engine wiring harness between the left
engine firewall connector and the bleed air electronic controller connector, in accordance with
MM Chapter 20-12-00 standard wiring practices.
(d) Close and secure the right and left aft upper cowling doors, in accordance with MM Chapter
71-10-00-001.
(4) Reconnect the airplane battery, remove warning notices, and restore power.
(5) To ensure low flow rate function, perform Bleed Air Flow Rate Ground Check in MM Chapter 21-11-
00-201. Use a P/N 475-3-FM digital manometer, or equivalent, instead of the P/N 1211-8WM
manometer specified in the MM.
(6) Ensure all work areas are clean and clear of tools and miscellaneous items of equipment.
(7) Return airplane to service.
B. Spares
