each other
(OAT & Set Altimeter to 29.92 for Pressure Altitude)
Max Reverse N1 84-86%Ng
Max Reverse Not to exceed
(Married)
Torque 1650 Prop RPM
Low Idle RPM 62-(64)*%Ng
*1050 Min Prop RPM

Hi Idle RPM 70-72% Ng

1700
Prop Max RPM RPM
Beta Range Same
Check (Below) Response
Move the Power lever aft of the Idle Gate, and verify that:
The Prop RPM increases (No FF Increase) & continues to vary until Reverse Gate. Over
the reverse gate, ensure the prop RPM doesn’t drop to 1050 before Ng increases.
Pickup and Stagger Checks

F.I Blades 25% / N1= N1=

35% / N1= N1=

?% / N1= N1=

On Govern 65% / N1= N1=

75% / N1= N1=

85% / N1= N1=

Redline / N1= N1=

Usage: Use notations like 1/8 – 1/4 - 1/2 –(Knob) and an Arrow for the forward Knob (↑)
Use tape on the pedestal to keep track of pickup points. If the knobs are split, are N1 matched?
One Time (Final) Verifications
Some of these change during the rig, and ALL should be rechecked on completion.

Check Target Left Right Note

Fuel Topping 1440 RPM P&WC 71-00

Limit Underspeed Fuel
Governor Governing Check
(Matched 1400 ideal)
This check can be used prior to rigging to establish FTG cut in RPM.
Set Power Levers to 1600 RPM
Set prop levers to 1500 RPM (Governing)
Reduce Power Levers to Idle
Slowly enter reverse until further motion aft no longer increases Prop RPM or Ng.
CAUTION: If Prop RPM reaches 1440 or more, STOP! Test Failed. REFER TO P&WC REF ABOVE
Adjust: See AMM
Prop Min RPM 1400-1420 RPM
76-10-15 G
Prop Lever Forward
Power Lever to 1600
Prop Lever to feather stop. Check RPM

Adjust: See AMM

Feathering RPM 1350-1400
76-10-15 H(3)
Set Power Levers to 1500
Prop levers to Feather Stop
One at a time, SLOWLY come over the detent. Return forward as prop starts to feather.
Note Feathering Prop RPM

Reverse Acceleration Together

Ground Idle Solenoid Drops to Adjust: See AMM

Pull Distance 1150-1250 RPM 76-00-00
Hold Ground Solenoid Test Switch
Advance Power Levers to 1500
Release Switch, record Prop RPM
Adjust: See AMM
Solenoid Release 68-70% Mg
61-40-01
Adjust: See AMM
Prop Low Pitch Lights Go Out at Drop
76-10-05 Fig 3
Reverse Not Ready Comes on by Adjust: See AMM
Light 1675 RPM 61-40-03
Advance power levers about 20% torque above 1700 prop RPM arrival (solidly on governing)
Pull back Prop Levers Individually
Record RPM when Reverse Not Ready Illuminates.
Shim tool P/N
MAX N1 95% Ng
WT-107901
Adjust: See AMM
Autofeather Disarm 87-89% Ng
61-21-03
Arm Autofeather.
Advance Power Levers to obtain (Both) AFX annunciations (@90% Ng).
Pull power back one at a time, note % NG that BOTH AFX go OUT. Record each Ng.
Adjust: See Beta Valve
Ground Idle Stop Test No change in Np
AMM 76-10-05 Fig 5
Advance Power levers to @ 90% Torque
Engage Ground Idle Test Switch. Observe Prop RPM. (1700 stays Steady)
