Qts: BEAM Statically Determinate and Indeterminate

What is a beam? Differentiate between statistically determinate and

indeterminate beam?
List all type of loads which are applicable and sketch one type of load with a
simply supported beam.

Show the symbol for Roller Fixed and Pin - support and its expected reaction
due to load applied on the beam where it supports the beam

Explain with neat sketches the sign convention for drawing Shear Force
Diagram and Bending Moment Diagram.

What is statistically indeterminate structure? Explain with diagram –

redundant beams and continuous beam.

State the principle of superposition.
