So, our lesson for today is on about Basic
musical instruments.

So first lets define what is music,

MUSIC- is a collection of coordinated

sound. It is an art of sound in time that
expresses ideas and emotions in significant
forms.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS- are sound

device that are use to produce sounds or use
in composing songs. They are used in church,
and school.

So, can we create a music without musical

instruments, class?
No, ma’am

But normally we create a music with the help

of musical instruments.

So, we will going to tackle about the basic

musical instruments where these instruments
can be seen anywhere.

So, first, we have the piano.

PIANO- a large keyboard musical

instrument with a wooden
case enclosing a soundboard and metal
strings, which are struck by hammers when
the keys are depressed.

Have you seen a piano class? Yes, ma’am

Next is GUITAR- a stringed instrument

with a flat body, a long neck with frets, and
usually six strings that are played with the
fingers or with a pick..

Have you played a guitar, class?

Yes, ma’am
Next is the VIOLIN- a wooden
chordophone, and is the smallest, and thus
highest-pitched instrument (soprano) in
regular use in the violin family.

Have you heard a sound of a violin? Yes, ma’am

DRUM- a musical percussion instrument

consisting of a hollow, usually cylindrical,
body covered at one or both ends with a
tightly stretched membrane, or head, which is
struck with the hand, a stick, or a pair of
sticks, and typically produces a booming,
tapping, or hollow sound.

Is a drum a loud instrument, class? Yes, ma’am

FLUTE- Woodwind instrument in which the

sound is produced by blowing against a sharp
edge.

Have you tried playing flute, class?

Not yet ma’am

XYLOPHONE- a percussion instrument

consisting of a series of wooden bars
graduated in length to produce the musical
scale, supported on belts of straw or felt, and
sounded by striking with two small wooden
hammers.

How about the xylophone class? Have you

seen xylophone? Yes, ma’am
