Nativus - from the womb

05 Seongjoon Park So dim that little did I see the pink, the time I heard subtle beats of the heart; A light in the dark seeming so weak, I thought no one could do the dark and me part.

,
I kept on sucking through the only straw Id had; stopping the edge of the blackness, sleeping and waking up at here, just like on my bed; Calmness, followed by tranquility, followed me to holiness. Another beat - coming from the other side, where the dark arose - was heard. The light grew stronger enough for the dark to hide; Who bewitched me - Be brought into there by a bird. Opening my eyes, I hear the naive singing of the lark; and closing eyes, that of the nightingale in the dark.

You, clothed in lovely feathers your father made, Your beauty provoked jealousy even from God. With a flap of wings, borders on earth faded. Aspiration made you fly up higher and higher. Alas, didn't you know, that the burning eye, With the insistent staring, would not fail to detect you? Who says, to excessive passion your fall was due? So sublime was it to disclose the forbidden, though. Into the abyss of calmness was sunken Your desire, seeking to breathe in the eternity. No more restlessness in the earthly businesses, For now at last you can have an eternal rest. Horrors! Nobody casts an eye on your cold death, On the sea, in the field and in the furrows.

So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
