Building a Movie Recommendation System Based On Apache Spark 2/2023 – 5/2023
Detail: This project develops a movie recommendation system on a large dataset using the Apache Spark framework.
The backend will interact with the model and return data to the frontend through an API. A simple UI will be
developed using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Knowledge:
• Learn about big data systems like Hadoop and Spark.
• Enhance data EDA capabilities(numpy, pandas) and natural language processing techniques like TF-IDF and
Word2vec.
• Understand APIs and Flask framework.

Fine-Tuning Large Language Models with Academic Data 10/2023 – 3/2024
Detail: This project aims to develop a chatbot that utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to answer academic
questions. The LLMs will be fine-tuned with a dataset of academic papers, specifically graduate theses, to enhance
their ability to provide accurate and relevant responses to academic queries.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of LLMs.
• Knowledge of frameworks for leveraging the power of LLMs.
• Knowledge of fine-tuning and handling PyTorch errors when training models.
