Standard colours of the strands of a CAT5 UTP patch cable.
In programming mode, the cable must be plugged in BEFORE power to the control board is
turned on (so that pin n°3 is grounded when the power is turned on).
In communication mode, the cable must be plugged in AFTER power to the control board is
turned on (so that pin n° 3 is not grounded when the power is turned on).
The control unit was not turned on again: return to Point 3 of the programming procedure.
The programming cable is badly connected either on the AS1300 side or on the PC side.
Connect it properly and return to Point 3 of the programming procedure.

Reader Simulation:
W hen the LCD displays the fir st group “PRDSTD – TRS360”, it is possible to simulate
the operation of the reader via the OK button. Each time the OK button is pressed,
the reader is changed (Reader A then Reader B). And the signal is maintained while
the OK button is depressed. In thi s way, the reader operation can be simulated in
every possible configuration.
Status Display in English of the 100 last major events (access to the previous
ones by means of the ► and ▲ keys).
(NB: the parameter "TEST" ► "Communication" ► "Diag. Extrac."
Enable the last 512 events to be listed).
For 2 seconds, the sequence number of the event (00 being the last
recorded event, 01 the previous one, etc), followed by the date
(YYMMDD) and time (HHMMSS) of t he event is displayed.
Then for 2 other seconds, a description of the event is displayed.

(*) During the power up after downloading a new program version, and according to the difference
level between the previous version and the new one, the program may change the default values:
refer to the messages "Download Chg Lv x" of parameter "Status" in the "OPERATION" menu.
Both cycle counters, Counter 1 and Counter 2 (see “OPERATION” Group), are automatically saved
at each power-down of the control unit in order to avoid loss of data in the event of a power failure.
They are also automatically loaded during the power-up of with the apparatus, at the same time as
the other LCD parameters.
1. The first level determines the operation of the apparatus: In Service, Out Of
Service, Evacuation, Test.
2. The second level determines the operating mode of each direction of passage.

A-Direction Ctrl panel Direction A passage configured via the control panel
Note: from version 2.1 of the program, the passage in one direction does not lock the passage in
the other direction anymore.
Thus, some passage sequences in one direction can be inserted between passages in the other
direction.
For example, if the commands memorisation is activated ("Memo reader x" function of "OPTIONS"
menu) and that are successively given 3 passage authorisations in A direction, then 2 in B
direction, then 2 again in A direction, the program will authorise 5 passages in A direction and 2 in
B direction, these ones being taken in any order.

Thermostat °C -10 to 100 Temperature beneath which:
- Internal heating by electromagnets is activated (see
Electro Heating parameter here after),
- Output DO9 is activated, allowing an optional heater
to be controlled.
Electro Heating Activated Enables, when the temperature descends below the limit
set at the “Thermostat °C”, parameter, to send a
continuous signal to the electromagnets (and not chopped
anymore, see Note (1) hereafter), which maintains some
warmth in the immediate environment of the
electromagnets.
Deactivated Heating by electromagnets deactivated
Memo reader A Yes Memorising by the reader of the Open commands given in
Direction A.
This function makes it possible for a user to command the
opening of the obstacle while the previous user has not
completely passed yet.
NB: in the event of “LSA Error” (= opening limit switch not
reached with in the assigned time, see “OUTPUT
FUNCTIONS” Group), all the memorised Open commands
are cancelled.
No No memorising of the reader impulses in Direction A
Memo reader B Yes Memorising of the reader impulses in Direction B.
Same remarks as for "Memo reader A".
No No memorising of the reader impulses in Direction B.
Electromagnet A A4 Precision of the assembly of the electromagnet used for
Direction A:
Mode 4 (= locked when not powered). See Note (1).
A5 Precision of the assembly of the electromagnet used for
Direction A:
Mode 5 (= unlocked when not powered). See Note (1).
Electromagnet B B4 Precision of the assembly of the electromagnet used for
Direction B:
Mode 4 (= locked when not powered). See Note (1).
B5 Precision of the assembly of the electromagnet used for
Direction B:
Mode 5 (= unlocked when not powered). See Note (1).
To prevent this variable from being cha nged during the loading of the default values,
it is independently saved in a specific memory area.
To avoid excessive consumption, the control signal is chopped after t he first two
seconds. Moreover, the chopped signals of the two electromagnets are in o pposite
phases in order to reduce electricity consumption.

- Electromagnets: A locked, B unlocked
- Electromagnets: A unlocked, B locked
Alternate Mode This operating mode provides successive alternation of
the following two modes (the direction changes after each
passage).
B-direction The Direction B passage is automatically unlocked. When
the Direction B limit switch is detected, it is locked for 1
second, then unlocked then.
A-direction The Direction A passage is automatically unlocked. When
the Direction A limit switch is detected, it is locked for 1
second, then unlocked then.
Deactivated No test in progress.
Communication This parameter enables various kinds of date to be
extracted to a PC via the serial line (see 5.9.1).
The communication parameters are:
- 19200 bauds
- Even parity
- 8 bits of data
- 1 stop bit
You can choose any name for the connection. Enter it and click on OK.
19200
Enter the appropriate parameters and confirm by pressing on OK. It can be seen on the first screen
(which is the only one now open) that the line is open.
In the drop-down transfer menu of Hyperterminal (see 5.9.2), click on “Capturing the text”.
Then select the place where you would like to save the text.
Once the access path has been defined, click on Start. From now on, everything will be saved until
you stop the capture. For that, in the drop-down transfer menu, click on “Capturing the text” and
select the data to upload in the "TEST" group ► "Communication". Click then on “Stop” to end the
transfer.

7.1 Specification
The characteristics of the series connection are :
Interface : RS232
Protocol : Modbus RTU
Mode : Slave
Speed : 9600, 19200 by default or 57600 bauds.
Data : 8 bits
Stop : 1 bit
Parity : Without, Even by default, Odd
Activation
The Modbus function is activated when the slave address is different from 0. It can lie between 1
and 255.
For further information, to see the site http://www.modbus.org/
7.2 Terminology
%MWxx A word transmitted under the Modbus protocol is always composed of 2 bytes where
xx is the number of the word represented in decimal format. The address of this
word is represented in hexadecimal format in the Modbus frame.
Data The data contained in the Modbus frame are represented in hexadecimal format
SW Byte of strong weight
ww Byte of weak weight
CRC16 Longitudinal control word of the transmitted frame. The bytes of strong weight and
weak weight are reversed.

The “SERIES PORT ” ► “Debug Modbus” mode works in POINT - TO - POINT connection
with the master. In this configuration, other error codes give more detailed
information on the dysfunction.
