EMERGENCY RESPONSE ACTIONS


1 Call supervisor to the location.
2 Move person to shaded/ cool environment.
3 Loosen Clothing
4 Fan or give cooled air
5 Apply cool packs or cool tower to neck and arm pit
6 If unresponsive, adjust to recovery position and call 911
ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS (Example: Ramadhan period,
deep excavations, and others
1 Perform job in a cool and shaded area as much as possible.
2 Monitor air temperature and humidity and follow rest period and water
intake as per described in the heat index.
3 Buddy system in an extreme hot weather condition.
4 Mechanical Ventilation for confined space.
5 Shorter work duration on Ramadan for people on fasting.
6 Avoiding the hottest time to work.

1. Orange Condition: buddy system is required and, if possible, shade should be provided over the jobsite.
SPECIAL 2. Heat Index ≥ 45, elevated work activities shall be stopped.

Condition.
