What I Have Learned in My College English Class

Before the semester began, I thought our English class would be boring, but as the
semester went on, it became more and more interesting. English class helped me improve my
language proficiency. From mastering grammar rules to expanding my vocabulary, I've created a
more sophisticated and effective communication style. In addition, my English class has given
me the opportunity to improve my communication abilities. I've learned how to successfully
explain my views and opinions, as well as engage in meaningful debate with my classmates,
through class discussions and group activities. This has not only increased my confidence in
expressing myself but also deepened my understanding of different perspectives. Of course, I
couldn't achieve all of this without the help of my English instructor, for which I am grateful. In
conclusion, my English class has taught me the significance of understanding the purposes and
functions of the parts of speech, as well as effective communication, critical thinking, and self-
expression. These skills are not only essential in an academic setting but are also valuable in all
aspects of life. I am glad for the information and experiences I have obtained, and I have no
doubt that they will help me in the future.
