The CM to PM journey was not at all easy for him, especially when a person is in politics, he/she faces a lot of criticism or ups and downs. In 2001, when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi might not have anticipated that within a year, his government would face allegations. The Gujarat riots of 2002, were the reason for which his administration was criticized as people thought that the failure of his administration was the reason of this protest, people believed that they were not able to handle the situation and because of them the situation became more worse. But In 2012, Modi was cleared of complicity in the violence by Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court of India. He went on to become the state’s longest serving CM and took oath a record 4 times. Self- reliance and self- sufficiency were his party goals for the state, he wanted overall economic development for Gujarat. Therefore, he formulated plans and schemes for the state, and not only did he, as the Chief Minister, but his administration also actively implemented them. This is one of the reasons why the state of Gujarat elected him four times. After facing criticism for the riots Modi never give up on his work but in reverse he worked ambitiously for the people and made a place in the hearts of people. Narendra Modi was already seeing highs in his graph but 2014 was a time that made some people also believe that an ordinary person can also dream big and if you have a courage of doing it, then for sure you will achieve milestones. Same is the case of Modi when he became the Prime Minister of India, after serving as CM of Gujarat. Demonetisation, Article 370, CAA, GST, Ram Mandir and Teen Talak all these big ideas were confronted by his party, for which his administration faced a lot of criticism all over India. But there were some who openly supported him also. Modi’s communication skills and confidence are one of the reasons that all over the globe people loves to listen him. His Mann ki baat and Pariksha pe Charcha makes him famous among students also. His party members truly believe that Modi as a leader keeps his professionalism ahead of his personal life and he always actively participates in the party’s workings and decisions.
