NAVIGATION PLANNING
● Average leg distance is 600 nm
● Average boat speed is aprox 6 knots
● That gives a “ non stop “ time of around 4 days to get to destination
● We have aprox 3 days left in each Leg ( 45 % aprox of the whole duration ) to
go with the flow and sail around

● The idea is to, based on weather conditions and crew preferences, plan the
Leg all together and decide the route to take, stops, etc.
● The only target is to be at the destination at a certain date.
● In between we just go with the flow.

NAVIGATION PLANNING ( sample for Leg 1)

● Me have to arrive @ Alghero on Nov 16th around 17:00

● We could go from Malta around Sardinia to the West of the island, stopping in
Alguero
● We could also decide to go around Sardinia to the East and stop at Porto
Cervo
● Another option is to go around Corcega to the East and arrive to Alghero from
the West
● We could even go around the Montecristo island
● Again, as long as we are in our destination on time, we can plan and execute
as we wish

Boat description to be added here …
this is a genuine dual-role performance design with the potential to win races both round the cans and offshore. Combining
cruising comforts with the ability to plane in wind speeds over 20 knots is certainly appealing.
