[For the Post of PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE (PoP)]
The Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed to be University) invites applications from distinguished
professionals with non-
. The Professors of Practice are expected to play key pedagogical and leadership roles in
the development of study programs, courses and advanced research across the Institute which includes
developing courses and programs, facilities, and labs, engaging with students and faculty, incubate applied
research engagement leading to credible publications and patents by reaching out to industries. Candidates
will also contribute to activities and design projects, facilitate novel pedagogical practices by promoting
active learning, creativity, and innovations, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses at our Institute.

Eligibility:
Posts Experience required for the post
Professor of Senior Professionals/Distinguished Experts who have made remarkable professional
contributions in below mentioned fields with Proven Expertise in their profession or role
Practice
can be considered for the position of Professor of Practice.
Candidates should preferably have an outstanding track record of driving innovations in
teaching, guiding technical projects of students, and coordinating industry projects. They
should have excellent leadership and communication skills, passion to teach and
motivate students, and enthusiasm to collaborate with faculty members across the
Institute.

Positions: In the following fields:

Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Footwear, Agriculture Engineering), Science (Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science), Technology, Entrepreneurship,
Management, Commerce, Social Sciences, Literature, Fine Arts, Legal Profession, Community
Development, Rural Development, Green Energy Systems, Tribal Development and Public Administration,
Architecture.

Tenure:
The engagement of Professor of Practice will be made on fixed-term basis, initially for up to one year which
may be extended for a period of four years based on the contribution and requirement of the experts as
Professors of Practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Professor of Practice may carry out one or more duties and responsibilities mentioned below:
Development and design of courses and curriculum.
Deliver lectures/ Conduct Lab Classes /Provide internship courses. Encourage students in
innovation and entrepreneurship projects & provide necessary Mentorship for these activities.
Carry out joint research project or consultancy services in collaboration with the regular faculty
members of the Institute.
Conduct Workshops/Seminars/ training programmes and deliver special lectures.

Salary:
The appointment shall be made on Honorary basis.
General Information

the basis of their qualifications, experience, research and publication records (wherever applicable),
departmental requirements, interaction in the department, etc.
3. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all positions or select any candidate without
assigning any reason.
4. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualifications and experience will not confer any right to the
candidates for being called for Interview for his/her selection.
