BISAK’s Got Talent

Date: Preferably towards end of Term 1 so December 3rd-14th

Description
Contestants from Year 7 to Year 13 try-out for the Talent Show (Try-outs may be judged by music
teachers and others, otherwise the Head Boy and Head Girl alongside the deputies can oversee try-
outs). If contestants pass try-outs, then they can go on to perform in the Talent Show. Maximum 5
minutes per contestant. Spots for the actual show will have to be limited

During the show, contestants will be judged by a panel of 3 Judges (preferably Mr. Viner, Mr. Marsh,
and Ms. Henderson). There can also be a vote amongst students for the ‘Audience Choice’ to select who
they thought had the best performance (can use an online form to make it easier to collect results)

Talent Show will take place in the Michael Hamilton Hall. Students would have to be taken out of class
to watch the show. It would be preferable if everyone could watch the show together, but if the hall is
unable to fit everyone, then there can be two separate shows, one for Year 7 to Year 9, with Year 7 Year
9 contestants, and a similar show for Year 10 to Year 13. Only issue so far is lessons being missed if the
show is occurring during school time (like they used to occur before)

Awards
To be decided. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. If there are to be two separate shows, then
there will be independent winners for each show

 Michael Hamilton Hall
 Microphones and musical instruments required by contestants (if they do not have their own)
 Other equipment required by contestants (e.g. gymnasts/athletes may need a mat)
 Two hosts (from sixth form) to announce contestants
