Full end-to-end credit review and recommendation: New Transaction Proposals and Annual Reviews.
• Undertake credit analysis on an existing Natural Resources portfolio across North American and European
region. As a sector head, I undertook complete ownership of the Natural Resource portfolio incorporating
timely submission of annual/interim reviews, proving support to onshore on time sensitive transaction and
preparing quarterly industry reviews.
• Independently analyze creditworthiness of large corporate clients covering detailed analysis of their
underlying business model, operating industry, management team and financial statements. Undertaking
financial modeling or stress testing in support of requests/transactions.
• Conducting detailed analysis on transaction request for facility amendments/extensions, refinancing, and
M&A...Etc, for presentation to senior Risk officers for approval.
• On-going Monitoring & Surveillance of assigned counterparties including assessment of internal credit grades,
limits, loss given default, and active management of exposures and preparation of recommendations to senior
management. Ensure that recommendations adhere to bank policies.
• Additional responsibilities: a) Trained and mentored new joiners and graduates by conducting system, process,
technical and fundamental trainings. b) Assisted the onshore team to draft the interim monitoring policy for
better quality leveraged counterparties. c) Providing support to onshore teams to handle audit queries and
deliver information to regulators. d) Worked closely with senior and executive-level on ad hoc projects and
perform any other assigned duties.

Additional Projects: Stewardship

1. Data accuracy leading to RWA Savings: Together with a colleague in Mumbai I am currently leading a project
to remove redundant or wrongly booked exposures, improving data accuracy in systems etc which is leading
to RWA savings for the bank as well as strengthening our credit systems.
2. Structured approach to system accesses for new joiners : With Barclay’s there are myriads of system access
requirements that a typical credit officer requires on joining the bank. I have developed a detailed spreadsheet
which covers the process and inputs comprehensively. This came very handy during the ramp up of Mumbai
team recently and was well appreciated across the board.

Rewards and recognition – Received R&R Citation for the spirit of stewardship shown alongside BAU work
1. Awarded as “Analyst of the Quarter” in Sep’16 with the R&R citation noting ‘development and delivery of an
excellent model for smooth on boarding experience, which has been accepted within the global onshore
teams’. This was done alongside BAU work in the spirit of stewardship.
2. Received several appreciation emails from onshore team for conducting industry reviews, actively tracking the
Natural Resource portfolio and taking the complete ownership.
