P01.03 Low-speed
Setting range:0~ 1.000m/s
This function Code sets the low-speed operation. When carrying out LOD, LCD, start-up or other
abnormalities, the door will operate at this setting speed.
Note: if the OD/CD/LCD/LOD time is right to the elevator system, the value shall be as little as
possible to avoid crashing during the low-speed operation
P01.04 Running direction
Setting range:0:Default
1:Opposite to direction
Motor's running direction can be changed by setting this parameter. The right action sequence is
close-open-close for door-width self-learning.
P01.14 Factory default
Setting range:0:None
21:Restore factory defaults
Note: Check special setting after reset such as P03.11 according to motor nameplate.
P03.02 Self-learning
Setting range:0~2
l Set P03.02=2,motor self-learning.’ MODE’ light is on, self-learning function is carrying out.
When ‘MODE’ light is off, the self-learning function completes. If the self-learning failed, the
drive will show Err07 warning.
l Set P03.02=1, door width self-learning. close the door first, then open the door, and then close the
door finally, when” MODE” light is off, the self-learning completes. P03.03 records the door
width data .if the self-learning failed, the drive will show Err07 warning.

self-learning.
P03.15 Motor angle
Setting range:0~360.0
This parameter is used to save the angle data of motor learning. If the motor angle is known in advance,
the parameter can be set directly without motor learning.
Note: 1) This data seriously affects the function of the product, be careful to modify it.
2) When P01.14 = 21 initialization, this parameter does not change.

opening (P04.00), the gantry crane runs at a constant speed after the S-curve reaches the high opening
speed (P04.09), and then decelerates to P04.02 until the end of the door opening.
3) When crawling to the opening limit area (P04.12) and blocked, then switch to hold or lock state.

Description
Problem After the initial installation, the door slams when opening or closing
1) The retraction and extension of the door coupler are abnormal, which needs to be

3) Improper parameter setting.
1) Take measures to reduce running resistance.
2) After setting P01.14 = 21 to restore the factory setting, if the problem still cannot be
solution
solved, please modify the closing parameters of P05 group appropriately, such as reducing
the speed of P05.09, increasing or decreasing P05.13.
u 5.2.7 Door operator cannot open or close
Description
Problem Door operator cannot open or close
Firstly, Ensure that the door opening and closing process is smooth without jamming (such
as whether the door opening limiting device works normally) , and check whether the
wiring from P2 and P5 to the car roof control box is correct and reliable.
1) Check normal operation mode P01.00 = 0.
analysis
2) The door operator is a device that passively executes the elevator commands. It is
necessary to confirm whether the door opening or closing command has been
transmitted to BG221.
3) Whether the open limit signal or close limit signal has been transmitted to the elevator.
1) Make sure P01.00=0.
2) Observe the parameter P00.10 to judge whether BG221 can receive the elevator
commands(Figure A):
Short IN1and COM1 to open the door, indicating that BG221 can normally respond to the
solution door opening command, as shown in Figure B;
Short IN2 and COM1 to close the door, indicating that BG221 can normally respond to the
door closing command, as shown in Figure C.
Door motor does not work under the above reliable short actions, it means that BG221 is
broken or self-learning has not been done.

e) Adjust the tightness of wire rope and toothed belt.
u 5.2.11Door opening impact caused by door coupler not fully opened
Description
Problem Door opening impact caused by door coupler not fully opened
When the door operator opens and closes, the car door and landing door are completely
synchronized. In the process of opening the door, before the door coupler drives the landing
door to run, the door coupler is fully opened or closed, and then the landing door is opened
at the same time, and so the car door and landing door are driven by the toothed belt to run
analysis
together at the same time. In this case, because the door coupler is not fully opened or
closed, when the door is actually opened to the limit position, however, the toothed belt
continues to drag the door to run at a faster speed, so there will be impact when the door is
opened in place.
Check and adjust the possible resistance of the door coupler (solve the problem that the
solution
door coupler is not fully opened or closed).

analysis This problem may be caused by the unreasonable setting of deceleration parameters.
solution Adjust the parameter appropriately, such as P05.13
u 5.2.13 Slight reverse opening after door closed
Description
Problem Slight reverse opening after door closed
a) The clearance between the hook of the door coupler and the starter is greater than 1mm;
analysis
b) The final holding force of the door closing is smaller.
a) After fixing the door coupler according to the requirement, adjust the starter to ensure
that the gap between the hook and the starter is 0.3 ~ 1 mm in the power-off state, refer to
the figure
solution
b) Modify P06.09 a little bigger to keep the door closed(more heating will be generated ).

6. Maintenance
Lots of factors such as ambient temperature, humidity, acid/alkali substances, dust, and vibration,
internal component aging and wearing may raise the chance of the occurrence of potential faults.
Therefore, it is quite necessary to conduct monthly checking and periodical maintenance to the drive
that are operated or stored.
User shall operate drive according to user manual, maintain drive at regular intervals (12 months as
general), ensure reliable running of drive. Maintenance includes:
l Check if terminal wiring has been loosened
l clean dust inside drive at regular intervals
l Check the heat dissipation of controller is normal or not
l Do not repair the drive without authorization, otherwise there is a risk of damage on it and
personnel safety.
