IV. Beneficiaries: ALS Learners of Sta. Lucia South Central School
V. Budgetary Requirements: Partnership/SEF
VI. Date of Implementation: February – March 2024
VII. Introduction:
The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a non-formal education program in the
Philippines that aims to provide quality education to out-of-school youth, adult learners,
and marginalized individuals. In the Municipality of Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur, ALS learners
are actively engaged in various vocational and life skills training to enhance their
knowledge and improve their employability.

Soap is an all-around product in all homes, hospitals, canteens, laundries,

hospices, and toilets. It is vital in maintaining healthy home and surroundings.
Dishwashing detergents can eliminate grease, food particles, and bacteria from our
dishes, ensuring our family's health. They are also effective in keeping food facilities clean
and preventing contamination from disease-causing microorganisms.

They can also effectively clean windows, clothes, motorcycles, vehicles, and other
items. Because of soap's significant function in our daily lives, demand for the product is
high and is mostly unaffected by financial instability. Dishwashing soap may already be
available on the market. Still, it is sold by large corporations at a price significantly
greater than the product's worth due to shipping expenses. Thus, formulating
dishwashing soap locally can lessen the price paid for the commodity and provide an
almost unlimited supply to the consumer. Smile dishwashing liquid business will then be
considered to cater to these needs.

The objective of this activity is to introduce the knowledge and train the ALS
learners in making Dishwashing-liquid soap and make it effective as a commercial
potential and could also increase entrepreneurship ability and economic growth of the
learners.

A seminar and training in Sta. Lucia South Central School aimed to instill the ideas
about entrepreneurship. The activity makes use of lecture and demonstrations on how to
make dishwashing-liquid soap. The participants are given the opportunity to produce
housekeeping products, sell them and get profits for their families and immediate
community.

VIII. Objectives:
1. To develop young peoples’ abilities and motivations to make use of all types of
information
2. To help the participants equip knowledge and skills necessary to successfully start
their own business
3. To gain knowledge in making dishwashing-liquid soap
4. Encouraged them to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills, to use their time at home
to pursue making dishwashing liquid and sell them in order to earn additional
income to provide their families’ needs.

III. Beneficiaries: The beneficiaries of Project LIVE thru ALS are:

1. Alternative Learning System learners

IV. MARKET ANALYSIS

Marketing is a crucial component of the company because it significantly

contributes to its success. The success of a business can be considerably influenced by
determining the requirements and wants of consumers and providing the right goods and
services to them. It is introducing a product or service to the market, advertising it, and
attempting to increase sales. Marketing significantly impacts production and distribution
(R, 2019).

4ps in Marketing

The 4Ps of marketing are a framework for improving the components of the "marketing
mix." It aids in defining marketing choices in terms of price, product, promotion, and
location to suit a client's need or desire (Team Asana, 2020).

Products

Dishwashing products often blend surfactants, sometimes accompanied by

increasing levels of foam or lather when used to hand wash wares such as cutlery,
glasses, cooking utensils, cookware, plates, and bowls. Dishwashing products have also
been used to help clean up damaged birds and other animals following large oil spills in
some cases. Dishwashing goods were identified to efficiently and successfully assist in the
non-harmful removal of the oil from the animals.

The business will utilize Economy Pricing Strategy in product pricing. This pricing
strategy involves computing the total cost of each goods sold and adding a minimum
amount of markup. An economic pricing strategy sets prices at the bare minimum to
make a small profit. However, the idea is to make the bare minimum as many times
possible by selling as much volume of products as possible.

Place

The business will be strategically situated in Sta. Lucia South Central School,
Burgos, Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur.

Promotion

The main instrument for promoting the product is word of mouth through the
agents distributing products to every household. The resellers will be given posters
containing the business's name and essential information. Product labels will also be used
to communicate basic product information to potential customers. Most importantly, the
Facebook page will be created to have a wider potential market

V. Budgetary Requirements: Project Live through ALS will be funded through a

partnership with stakeholders, including the school, local businesses, and potential
sponsors. The budgetary requirements will be determined based on the scope and
scale of the program, including the cost of raw materials, workshops, events, and
assessment tools.

VII. Conclusion:

dishwashing liquid that intends to sell and distribute its product to the municipality of
Sta. Lucia targeting all retailers and business establishments. The main production
and product warehouse will be situated at Sta. Lucia South Central School, Burgos,
Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur. Products will be promoted online, house-to-house selling, flyers,
and tarpaulins. The business will welcome sales agents and freelancers to sell and
promote the business's existence in the area. The entire venture will be managed and
