Learning Outcome:

After completing this exercise, you shall be able to:

• Identify Adjectives in the sentences.


• Use Single Adjective and Multiple Adjectives, according to the need, in a sentence.
• Clearly understand the type of Adjective (Absolute, Comparative, and Superlative), to be used
in a particular sentence accordingly.
• Convey different degrees of comparison or emphasis on the quality described.
Problem Statement:

Read the given sentences carefully and identify the adjectives from the following sentences.

1. A few people were present at the cinema hall in the beginning of the movie.
2. Is there any hope for Gaza to win the war against Israel?
3. Hina looked more attractive when she was standing in the lush garden covered with flowers as
compared to standing in the barren desert.
4. Due to the severity of her head injury, doctors expressed little hope for her survival.
5. Their house is located on the corner of the street.
6. The road to Death Valley is very dangerous and too long, with no rest areas along the way.
7. The international media is spreading great awareness about mental health nowadays.
8. The Muslim scholars like Avicenna, Khwarizmi, Ibn Al-Haitham, Jabir bin Hayan were timeless
geniuses.
9. The efficient municipal committee works well during elections, emergencies, or warnings.
10. The industrial area in the cities plays an important role in the pollution of all types, like air
pollution, water pollution, land pollution, and sound pollution.

Tasks:

1. You are required to identify adjectives from all the ten sentences given in the problem statement.
2. Underline and bold the identified adjectives.

Guidelines:

• Watch Video Lesson No. 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39 before attempting the exercise.
• Remember and make sure the identified “adjectives” are bold and underlined.
• Plagiarized content or content copied from other trainees or online sources shall not be accepted.
• Your Solution file SHOULD:
o Not have copied content/format, as it will not be considered grade worthy.
o Be submitted in MS Word format only.
