your lesson is to develop students’ fluency in speaking. A student is struggling to formulate her
ideas and looks to you for help.

Yes, to help him communicate and continue with the task once he feels more confident.

Suggested answer
Yes. It would be a good idea to help this student. In Practice Activities you saw that it is often a good idea
to step back and give students space to formulate ideas and language during fluency stages of the
lesson. However, it is important that you are still available should students need help.
