The Master has the overriding authority and responsibility in relation to his ship to make decisions with respect to safety of
the Vessel, prevention of Human Injury or Loss of Life and the prevention of property damage and pollution. He may request
the Company’s assistance as necessary.

Regardless of above environmental safety criteria, the Master MUST use his professional judgement in making decisions to pull off to
ensure the safety of vessel, people, pollution prevention and damage to client assets.
Once ANY conditions (1B) above are met, the following actions shall be taken immediately:
Inform related parties (i.e. construction supervisors, platform staff) to disconnect and clear all umbilical hoses/cables through

All down weather anchors should be slackened when necessary to allow vessel to move as free as possible to prevailing

weather direction with the engine thrust (main engines & bow thruster) as required to minimize effect of the adverse weather.
6 Continuously maintain radar watch, monitor all weather forecast, sea state and anchor wires tension

(1C) VESSEL PULL-OUT [RELEASE ANCHOR WIRES] AND FOLLOW-UP ACTION – Any One Condition Met – STAGE 3
(Vessel Currently at “Stand Off” Position – Approximately 100M from Offshore Platform)
Should the weather deteriorate further and the anchor wire tension increase and any one of the below parameters is met,
Master will release the anchors immediately and proceed to shelter:

3. Excessive motion of the vessel affecting crew safety and resulting inability to carry out work operations.

2. This form is to be prepared and completed during the tool box meeting upon vessel arrive location and prior to
commencement of anchor handling.
3. The following personnel to be present during this SSP form preparation;
a. Bridge Team;
b. Deck Personnel;
c. Construction Team Key Personnel; and
d. Client/End User Key Personnel.
4. The following procedures are to be referred to when preparing the site specific plan;
