The Moon Sisters

3/110
It is theorized that these sisters may be the original gods of TeyvatAs long as the Moon Sisters managed
to switch places in the night sky three times a month, all wasgood in the civilization below. But like in
many stories, and a ton inm Genshin Lore, destruction oftenfollowed prosperity.According to

Records of Jueyun Vol. 4

, A Seeliemet and fell in love with a traveler from afar, and wedthem in the halls of the Lunar Palace itself.
Under mysterious circumstances, the three moon sisters failedto switch places and disaster struck,
allowing celestia to enter the world, with the seelie and their lover possibly suffering a curse of separation
for attempting to flee during the event.Just as Phanes Conquered the world from the seven sovereigns,
Celestia conquered the world fromPhanes. NOTE: There is a symbol literally found EVERYWHERE in
genshin impact. This symbol could refer tothese three moon sisters.

A Demiurge God

6/110
It is theorised that the unknown god, or the sustainer of heavenly principles is a Demiurge God,
meaningnot the original god. This would make sense because after the 3 moon sisters perished, the
sustainer took over.

The Archon War

The Archon War was held to decide the 7 gods that would become rulers and protectors of their own
respective region.Through this though, a few notable gods perished. One of them being Guizong. She
was a ruler over theGuili assembly in Liyue. She lost her life in a destructive battle that laid waste to Dihua
Marsh and GuiliPlains.Though all the 7 seats were filled at the end of the Archon War, some of the seats
would change ownersas time went on.

Rhinedottir of “Gold”

9/110
Gold is a researcher from Khaenri’ah and is also a master of the art of Khemia. Gold is the oneresponsible
for the destruction of Khaenri’ah as well. Also giving her the title “The Great Sinner.”

The Art of Khemia

Khemia is a form of alchemy that was developed in and used by the people of Khaenri’ah.Because
Khaenri’ah was an underground nation without a god to give blessings, along with very littlegreenery,
Khemia focused on the creation of artificial life. This is how Albedo and Durin were created. An important
thing to note is that Rhinedottir was a master of the Art of Khemia. She is responsible for the creation of
Albedo and Durin, and the destruction of Khaenri’ah.

11/110
The Cataclysm or the Destruction of Khaenri’ah

12/110
There are many theories on what and how the destruction of Khaenri’ah came to be. I will be writingabout
what I believe. It is believed by many that Gold the alchemist was responsible for the Cataclysm. Gold was
also sodesperately in the need of more knowledge and understanding of the world. This led to her
creatingterrible monsters and beings all over the nation of Khaenri’ah and even ended up turning almost
everyonein Khaenri’ah into these monsters. It is believed this was the start of hilichurls and the
Abyss. Then the Gods and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles were sent to Khaenri’ah to destroy it all.A
few notable gods perished in the Cataclysm. One being the Original Dendro Archon, or, The God
of Woods. The archon was involved in a conflict and was killed. Because of this, “The grass and the
treesnever spoke again. Another god who perished in the Cataclysm was Makoto. One of the original
electroarchons. NOTE: there is also a theory that perhaps the sustainer tricked Gold into creating all of
these monsters, because the sustainer probably saw Khaenri’ah as a Threat to the Heavenly Principles.
As well as the artof Khemia, because to create life such as that, the people of Khaenri’ah were pretty
much playing god.

Makoto and Ei

15/110
Makoto and Ei were twin gods who lived together during the time of the archon war. While Ei was avery
strong warrior and Makoto was mostly peaceful, Ei still believed Makoto would be a ready ruler over
humanity and Inazuma. After prevailing and slaying all of her rivals, Ei willingly sacrificed her body, so
Makoto could ascend to Celestia and become one of the seven. \After becoming an archon, Makoto
recreated Ei’s body and made Ei her “ Kagemusha” or body double. As far as the world was aware, they
were not two, but one. They complimented each other and ruledtogether, for there was no need for
anyone but themselves to know the truth. The name “Baal” and thetitle of the Raiden Shogun were
understood to refer to both of them.Then.. the Cataclysm struck, the circumstances were so horrible that
Makoto had no choice but to go toKhaenri’ah herself. When Ei arrived, she only had time to hear her last
dying breath, and Makoto wasslain. Makoto had already fallen into unconsciousness at this point, so all Ei
could do was enter her mind. This was almost like Ei’s Plain of Euthymia. This is where Ei bid her final
goodbye to Makoto. Deepsadness and grief filled Ei, and she established her view of eternity so such a
terrible loss such asMakoto’s death would never happen again. Before Makoto’s realm of consciousness
completelycollapsed, she brought it back to Inazuma, but when Ei arrived, a gigantic Sakura tree had
formed, nowknown as the Sacred Sakura. But when she told others about it, they insisted that it had been
there sinceInazuma was created, and in the end, Ei had to simply accept that it was a miraculous effect of
Makoto’sconsciousness. With the help of the Sacred Sakura’s powers, Ei was finally able to overcome all
of theevil monsters that had flooded Inazuma because of the Cataclysm.Eternity was established. A place
where nothing ever changes. She then went on to create the RaidenShogun puppet, and placed her real
self in the Plain of Euthymia. Then, the traveler comes to Inazuma..And the rest is pretty much all known.

Durin

18/110
Durin was created by Gold and was a massive shadow dragon that came to life during the Cataclysm,
andinvaded Mondstadt.Though Durin had the appearance of a terrifying creature filled with hate and evil,,
Durin was actually avery kind hearted and gentle being that dreamed of befriending Dvalin and the people
of Mondstadt.Because of Durin’s kind spirit, Gold had to make Durin unconscious when she released him.
Durin wasunconscious of his destructive actions in Mondstadt until Dvalin fatally wounded him. Even after
beingdealt a killing blow by Dvalin, Durin held no ill will towards Dvalin and Barabtos and only wished
theycould have met under different circumstances.Durin’s body fell over dragonspine, which was originally
a green, flourishing mountain with an entirecivilization on it. But was then destroyed by the skyfrost nail. (I
plan to make a page about that soon.)The poisonous blood that flowed through Durin veins contained
powers from the abyss, contributing tohow Dvalin was taken over by the abyss. After Durin fell over
Vindagnyr’s peak, his blood soaked into the land, reviving the Frostbearing Tree, which had been earlier
destroyed by the skyfrost nail. (I also plan to make a page about this soon.

More about Durin

21/110
Durin was created in Khaenri’ah and classified under “ Humus”. Gold considered Durin to be one of her
“miracle creations' ', alongside Albedo, however Albedo would not be created until after
theCataclysm.Gold had however, already started the “Primordial Human Project '' to create synthetic
humans using theart of Khemia. Before Durin’s invasion, Gold had already created Primordial Albedo
which sheconsidered a failure and left him inside of Durin’s stomach. Durin was then released and caused
theKnights of Favonius much devastation because they had already been dealing with a campaign
inKhaenri’ah and suffered many great casualties after the grand master at the time had given up
fightingafter being struck with a great loss. Barbatos had seen the struggles and the condition Mondstadt
was in,and descended onto the mortal plane to assist. The rest is known.Something to note: Durin’s blood
that remained on dragonspine as well as his heart is said to have verystrange abilities and many things
that have happened on dragonspine have been extremely strange andunexplainable ever since.

Albedo

Albedo was created by Gold and was the second outcome of the Primordial Human Project and
thisAlbedo was seen as the “perfect” outcome.

22/110
23/110
24/110
From the moment Albedo was created, Gold took him from domain to domain teaching him all Goldknew.
Until one day, Gold disappeared and her whereabouts are still unknown to this day. Gold leftAlbedo with
discovering the secrets of this entire world.. Including Celestia.Albedo was created with great intelligence
and will to follow in his creators footsteps. This could becomeextremely dangerous if Albedo ends up
learning too much. He might end up breaking one of the HeavenlyPrinciples or come across forbidden
knowledge and be punished by Celestia. An alternate ending might be he will end up becoming what Gold
was… “The Great Sinner” and begin to use the art of Khemia justlike Gold did, and ultimately destroy
Mondstad. After all.. “

Chalk follows Gold

Primordial Albedo

Primordial Albedo was the first version of Albedo and was created by Rhinedottir as part of thePrimordial
Human Project. However, Primordial Albedo was considered a failure by Gold and wasdiscarded and later
swallowed by Durin. Many years after Durin’s death, Primordial Albedo managed toescape from Durin’s
stomach and had been staying in Dragonspine for some time. Then, PrimordialAlbedo managed to spot
the successful version of himself, and saw Albedo living among humans as if hewere one of them.
Primordial Albedo grew envious and jealous that a synthetic human being could enjoythe human
experience. Primordial Albedo started lurking around Albedo, concocting a plan to replacehim. Primordial
Albedo created a Fellflower variant to distract Albedo and eliminate him when the timewas right. However,
the sudden arrival of the Traveler ultimately ruined his plans.Albedo defeated the Fellflower Albedo and
noticed Primordial Albedo looking down on him from atop acliff. Albedo does not specify what Primordial
Albedo’s fate would be. Whether he chooses to letPrimordial Albedo live and allow him to continue
impersonating him is unknown for now.

Irminsul Trees

An Irminsul tree is a type of silver-white tree whose roots are said to stretch down as far as the
abyss. These roots are connected to the Ley Lines of the world which connect all of Teyvat together. If it
weren’tfor Ley Lines and Irminsul trees, Teyvat would most likely crumble.

25/110
26/110
27/110
NOTE: Irminsul Trees can be found in artifact and book domains, as well as the Frost Bearing tree
indragonspine.Irminsul trees and blossoms in the are intertwined at the deepest and most hidden place in
the world andthe patterns the roots make is what defines the Ley Lines of the world.Irminsul Trees also
take the form of LeyLine blossoms, where their roots can be vitalized with original or condensed resin.
However the blossoms and Irminsul trees we find in domains aren’t that ancient.

Dainsleif

A lot is still unknown about Dain, however we do still possess some knowledge about him.“Bough Keeper”
or “Royal Guard '' were titles given to him all the way back 500 years ago when the likesof Khaenri’ah
were still around. Dain was a guard of a very ancient Irminsul Tree and responsible for ensuring nothing
happened to it. However, when the destruction of KIhaenri’ah struck, he was obviouslynot able to protect
the tree and was punished with immortality. Dainsleif also has blue veins covering half of his body and
going across his neck. This also could have something to do with failing to protect theIrminsul Tree.

Enkanomia

The entrance to this sacred place is in a deep pool below Sangonomia Shrine. A key is required to
enter this sacred place. This key is forged from Orobaxi’s blood. The region of Enkanomia is separate
fromTeyvat, meaning it is not ruled by Celestia or The Seven.

28/110
29/110
30/110
Around the time of the Archon war, (2,500+ years ago), a group of people became stranded at the
bottomof the ocean. A clan named the Yuna clan also existed in this place. Kokomi is a living descendant
of thisclan. The clan and the stranded people lived in a region known as Enkanomia.A dragon called
“Dragonheir of the depths” frequently terrorized this place. The place the people of Enkanomia lived was
dark and terrifying. The people only survived due to the light of “Ohirume noOmikoshi”, or the artificial sun
that we can turn on and off in Enkanomia. The light is believed to becreated by a sage named “Abe
Yoshihisa”. Since it never goes away, it is eternal day in Enkanomia. (of course, before we came.)The
sage learned this from the great God of Tokoyo. But the rulers of Enkanomia grew jealous of the sageand
imprisoned him for life. Over time, these rulers started to oppress people. It was similar to howaristocrats
in Monstadt took away people’s freedom. The people of Enkanomia also built the “Towers of the Three
Realms.” These towers were built at the borders of Enkanomia. They were built to stabilize harmony
between the “three realms.” It was becauseEnkanomia existed on the border between these three realms,
The Human Realm, The Elemental(Vishaps) realm, and the Abyssal (void) realm. Since these towers
were very important, they were hidden.Only the shrine maidens of Enkanomia and Vassals of Watatsumi
can summon these towers. During thistime, the people of Enkanomia started seeing mirages and
Sinshades.Sinshades are shadows of the past believed to be created due to the “God of Moments.”When
the people first came to the surface, they stopped calling their place Byakuyakoku, and startedcalling it
Enkanomia. A day before the people came to the surface, some envoys from Khaenri’ah alongwith a Ruin
Guard tried to steal the book “Before Sun and Moon” which was the book about the creationof the world
by Phanes. The title “Before Sun and Moon” is probably referring to before there was a sunand moon and
how all was dark before Phanes arrived. A Jibashiri called Antigonus fought them andstopped the book
from being stolen. At present time, when entering Enkanomia, the traveler meets with amember of the
Abyss Order. It is called “Enjou” and it claims that the gods and Celestia came fromanother world. Note
about Enkanomia: Enkanomia is a region located in the abyss.

Orobaxi

31/110
32/110
33/110
One day a young child made a bet with his friends that he could find something in the depths of theocean.
(Maybe this was the dark sea?) What he found was a giant serpent, something he had never seen before.
The serpent told the boy that he was alone and had no one to protect. The boy replied. “Could youthen
become our god?” From that day onwards, the serpent stopped the evil rulers and sealed thedragonheir of
the depths. The people of Enkanomia named the serpent Orobaxi or, Watatsumi Omikami. However one
day, Orobaxi came across forbidden knowledge. Records of humans predating Enkanomia’ssinking. Also
revealing truths about Phanes and Celestia, and that they were not always from this world.Celestia found
out about this, and it was too dangerous for any god to know about. So, Celestia gaveOrabaxi a choice.
Either he dies alone, or he goes down with his people. Orobaxi loved his people verymuch, however he
couldn’t let his people know the true reason for his death. So he created a plan to mask the true reason
for his death.Orobaxi set a date for them to depart from Enkanomia and up to the surface. And so the
people beganworrying about what to do with the special and secret information they kept. Some said it
was toodangerous to be kept, and it should be destroyed, others said it was important so others could
know thetruth if anyone was to come down ever again. In the end, they decided to keep the information
locked behind trials and puzzles, so that they knew whoever was to find this information was worthy of
knowingit. With all of this out of the way, Orobaxi lifted the people up to the surface, and created
Watatsumi islandwith the corals from Orobaxi’s body. Though they had a lot of complications, and many
people died of diseases and hunger, but eventually, as always, humanity prospered. Then, it was time for
the second phase of Orobaxi’s plan to mask his death. Orobaxi gathered and trained troops to fight the
RaidenShogun for “More land”. Through this, Orobaxi unfortunately perished, of course, because that
wasOrobaxi’s punishment by Celestia. The people of Watatsumi, of course oblivious to the true reason
for Orobaxi’s death, from that day onward held a grudge against the Raiden Shogun. The last died or
leftEnkanomia, and it is now abandoned and sealed. Until of course.. The traveler came. Before Orobaxi
brought the people up to the surface,it also asked the people to research Vishaps. Theyconducted
experiments on vishaps in an attempt to graft Orobaxi’s corals. Orobaxi knew the corals fromits body
would be needed in the future. So the researchers eventually created vishaps with Orobaxi’scorals, so
that in the future people can get it’s corals whenever they want. This was done because Orobaxiknew it
would soon die to the punishment, as described above, so it wanted to let the people obtain it’s blood
corals even after it’s death. Near the end of the Archo War, (2,000 years ago), Orobaxi created a way for
the people of Enkanomia toget back to the surface, it used the corals from it’s body to create Watatsumi
Island, and it was also itscorals that supplied nutrients to Watasumi’s soil. So when the nutrients in the
solid were love, the peoplewould get more corals from the modified vishaps. This is what the traveler does
when we receive the bloodbranch coral.

Celestia

36/110
Celestia, also referred to as “The Castle in the Sky '' is the controller of all things in Teyvat. An entityhigher
than all of the Seven Archons. However, Celestia is theorized to be much more sinister than onemay
think. An extremely well-known and heavily respected Grand Master named Vanessa, of Mondstadt, was
suchan important and powerful leader that she even ascended to Celestia. There is a gigantic tree in the
placewhere she ascended. However, when Vanessa arrived in the “heavens” of Celestia, she was greeted
with thousands of jail cellsin a circular formation. , known to be a “panopticon.” In this prison, there is a
watchtower where theguard can survey the inmates without the inmates knowing when or when they are
not being surveyed. This could be a representation of what Teyvat is. Celestia as a prison, the Three
Hooded Figures asguards, and the people of Teyvat as prisoners. As well as perhaps visions or archons
being a way for Celestia to keep an eye on powerful people who could potentially break the Heavenly
Principles.

37/110
38/110
The 3 Hooded Figures

39/110
In Austrian cultures, these hooded figures refer to death and fear. NOTE: A LOT of lore and deep story in
Genshin Impact is based on real mythology and ancient history. These hooded figures, now knowing that
they represent fear and death, and that they work with Celestia, could mean that they could be overseers,
and ensure that all things in Teyvat fall in line with the HeavenlyPrinciples. In the Genshin Impact manga,
(before Vanessa ascended) Vanessa asks Venti about Celestia, to which wesee imagery of 3 hooded
figures, and a terrified look on Venti’s face. (clearly, these hooded figures struck deep fear in Venti.) Then,
Venti swiftly changes the subject. It seems the archons have a contract withCelestia to never speak about
it at all. Perhaps these 3 hooded figures exist to ensure that no archons break this contract, because
Celestia can’t simply walk around making sure all is in order. NOTE: The “triquetra” mentioned on the
page about the Moon sisters, could also signify these 3 hoodedfigures?

Visions

42/110
At first, it was thought that visions were given by the gods for the sole purpose to give gifts to thoseworthy
enough to receive them. However, there may be something much more sinister going on behindthe
scenes. There is a theory that suggests visions are actually given to individuals who might potentially end
upcoming upon forbidden knowledge or might become too strong for their own good. Perhaps visions are
away to keep an eye on powerful people who might break the heavenly principles. And, as shown
withVanessa in the Manga, if a person does indeed ascend to Celestia. Not to become a god or one of
theseven, but instead be locked away in an endless oasis of jails. To be imprisoned forever in the jail that
isCelestia. An example similar to this is what happened to Khaenri’ah and its people. The people of that
nationlearned too much and played god with the Art of Khemia. If the nation were to live on any longer,
theymight have learned about the lies that is Celestia.

The Stars and Constellations

There is an extremely famous line of text spoken by Scaramouche that goes as follows: “The stars andthe
sky, it’s all a gigantic hoax. A lie.”It is theorized that instead of giant flaming balls of gas that make up real
stars, the stars in Teyvat areactually constellations. On the “stars'' is a person’s fate. How they will live and
how they will die. As seenin the “Unreconciled stars' ' event these “stars” are seen falling out of the sky.
Upon further inspectionthough, these stars actually appear to be rocks, and they are theorized to be a
mere few miles away fromthe actual earth itself.A line in the game itself further solidifies this theory:
“Wherever you go, whatever life throws at you… InTeyvat, the stars in the sky will always have a place for
you.” But instead of being a comforting message,it’s really more of a threat. The message it’s trying to get
at is, No matter what you do, no matter how hardlife gets, no matter what happens to you, it was already
completely planned out and you can not escapeyour fate.

43/110
44/110
Sumeru

45/110
Sumeru was once ruled by the God of Woods, until unfortunately their life was taken during
TheCataclysm. The people of Sumeru now worship “Lesser Lord Kusanali.” She is the god of
wisdom. However she might not be as innocent as one might make her out to be. “The god of wisdom’s
enemy iswisdom itself, adn the oasis of knowledge is a mirage in the desert of ignorance. In the city of
scholars, there is a push for folly, yet the God of Wisdom makes no argument against it.” -Dainsleif This
quote could be a reference to the people of Sumeru daring to trespass on the limitations of
humancapacity, simply to squeeze every ounce of knowledge from the land. The name “Sumeru '' can be
derived from buddhist cosmology in which it brings forth a lot of the ancientknowledge troupes in which
the real life “Sumeru '' is supposed to be the center of all things scholastic. There are also a few other
places in the world which have similar names to Sumeru that are also known tohave large references to
vast knowledge.Back to Genshin now. The Sumer academia, worthy in forming some of the greatest
minds and most powerful people in Teyvat. Lisa, Signora, Dottore and Cyno are some of the past and
present students of the academia. However, though it is known for its prestige.. It's also known for its
inhumane work standards. The academia treats its students with nearly impossible work criteria. They are
put throughlong and tedious work loads that are terrible and traumatizing in order to meet the acadaimia’s
standards. It does appear that the academia studies the Divine, however there is a lone that even they
refuse to cross. But perhaps that is why there are those who seek knowledge without the permission of the
academia.Because those who gain untold knowledge, also fain the ability to question the authorities… of
theheavens. Because even the god of wisdom treats knowledge like a currency.. A resource that can
begained, stored, and kept.. So who says that one won’t sacrifice..

Everything?

For the reward of knowledge.“A human is like a machine. Only capable of doing so much. So who is to
say that one can’t make…Enhancements.. to it? It’s performance could be.. Greatly amplified. An
enhanced human could displayabilities far beyond average…”The Fatui both in Inazuma and Sumeru
have adobe quite a bit of.. Research. The research in weaponizingrhye anger if the bogs began in
Sumeru, before transitioning over into other nations… Children were themost effective vessels for the
direct injection of the substances, Perhaps for their strong vitality andsusceptibility to strong and wild
emotions such as anger and grief. One of the survivors of the project was

46/110

a young girl named Collei, who still harbors the energies of the angers “Deev” which is a demonic
andsupernatural creature in Pursian folklore. The research proven in Sumeru was what inspired
Scaramouche to pursue the tatarigami, Strong anger and wrath can fuel greater amounts of strength,
Which is somewhat demonstrated in the “Omnipresenceover Mortals” Archon quest. Many lives were lost
during the vial experiments of the Fatui. The sins of the scholars who dare tooverstep their boundaries
simply for the smallest hope of understanding the mysterious world aroundthem.“When a person throws
away everything for their ambition, how much of themselves do they truly lose? The Sumeru academia
demands consistent perfection through restricted dand suffocating standards. Evenat the cost of the
person's well-being and sanity. While the other side of this coin is freedom of knowledge, but abusing
such freedom they have to delve deeper into topics forbidden. Treating evenhuman life as an expendable
source.. But the problem is, the archon may be aware of this. Aware that inthe act to gain knowledge,
there is hidden obsession and unjust acts. But the god of wisdom makes noargument against it. Perhaps
because she sees knowledge as a recourse. And who is to say that the God of Wisdom herself doesn
want to capitalize on the most important thing in Sumeru? or even in Teyvat itself.Because would she
really try to stop something that furthers the growth of her nation..?

The Dark Sea

The dark sea is a mostly unknown area, however it is known that it is an area outside of Teyvat. In the
ancient past, the land now known as the Dark Sea was inhabited by the Seelie, who built palacesthere.
While some seelie also dwell in Teyvat, their palaces are said to stand in the “wasteland” beyondthe
dominion of The Seven, which is “Inhabited only by the grotesque ghostly remains of fallen
gods.”Following the end of the Archon War 2,500+ years ago, many of the defeated gods who survived
chose toflee to the dark sea instead of living under the new order of The Seven. However it is suggested
that thegoods who fled also died since then for unknown reasons. It appears that there are mer-people
residing in the Dark Sea. Some of these people seem to be ancestorsof the Sangonomiya Clan, and now
live on Watatsumi Island. NOTE: a god of note who fled to the Dark Sea was Orobaxi.

Before and After the War of the Vishaps

51/110
Phanes the Primordial One, is the central character of this version of the creation story we have so
far.Like their counterpart from Greco-Roman Mythology, they were born from an egg we call the
“Worldegg.”Phanes was born out of necessity. For the world to be created the egg had to hatch. It was
inevitable. Andagain like the greek source, the egg split into two. Phanes himself used the egg shell to
separate the:Universe: and the “microcosm.” The microcosm of the world may mean humanity itself. After
hatching from their egg, Phanes descended to the world we’ll eventually know as Teyvat. And battled the
Seven dragon Sovereigns who are ancestors of the modern day Vishaps. (The war of theVishaps.)After
this, Phanes created four shining shades. Three of them remain unnamed for now, but the fourth isKairos,
also known as Tokoyo Ookami and her divine name is Istaroth, The enigmatic god of Time whowould
eventually find her place in two very different nations. Being Inazuma and Mondstadt. It is theorized that
these four shades are merely new gods created by Phanes to help them in their tasks.

Phane’s Rule

“The Seven Sovereigns were vanquished and the Seven nations submitted to the heavens.”WIth the
Seven Sovereigns out of the way, the seven nations bowed to their new ruler, who indulges inthe joy of
creation in earnest Phanes created mountains and seas, with the latter becoming home to thosewho
refused to bow to their ruler. With the help of one of Phanes’ Four shades, they created flora andfauna of
the new Teyvat. Before creating human life.Entering a contract, humanity prospered under Phane’s rule.
Humanity’s happiness was Phane’shappiness, and everything this deity did was for the prosperity of
humanity. And prosper humans did. They worked the land and mined the mountains.

52/110
53/110
54/110
Aside from humans, it's clear that there were other creatures in the world during Phane’s rule. Aside
fromtheir 4 shades, there were also defeated Vishaps that retreated to the deep seas (where Enkanomia
wouldone day be.) others, as we know from Azdaha and his own people, retreated to the
mountains.During this time, the seelies and the infamous moon sisters flourished. The seelies perhaps
even belongto the original seven nations that bowed top Phanes’s might. They may have also been
tasked to guidehumanity as elders of sorts, and humans may have seen them as angels. An imagery that
Celestia mayhave stolen for themselves, later. As for the moon sisters, they may be the other three
unknown shades that Phanes created at the beginning before humans. The Solomon’s knot we see all
over Teyvat, (on top of domains, ect.) could representthese 4 shades. And the triquetra, mentioned on the
page about the Moon Sisters, (a symbol literally foundEVERYWHERE) could represent the moon sisters
with Kairos acting as a force independent of them.

Celestia and Phanes

Phanes and his shades were aware of Celestia's existence, and perhaps even it’s true nature. And
withPhane’s internet on keeping humanity happy and prosperous, everything had to be done to keep the
threatof Celestia at bay.“Back then no gods walked the earth, and the whole land belonged to a single
civilization.”There are many theories floating around that Teyvat is a firmament. This may lead to the
assumption of afake sky.A firmament is a heavenly dome that divides the primordial sea so that dry land
can live below. Thismeans that aside from the sea we all know, there is also a sea beyond the heavens,
surrounding thefirmament. But what if this firmament was to

break

?And breaks it does, allowing Celestia to enter the world that Phanes painstakingly created by hand.
Phasewaged a war between Celestia, and of course, Celestia was victorious. Enkanomia was submerged
in theattack, but it was not the only place that would sink in what would eventually become Inazuma. The
land around Inazuma itself took a huge blow. The place we now know as violet court was “Sundered:or
separated from the other islands. Landforms sank at this period too. Enkanomia itself, geographically

55/110

part of Inazuma, sank to the realms beneath the sea, never to be seen again. For reasons unknown,
Kairosremains with them during this ordeal, though she too would eventually disappear from history too.

57/110
The Aftermath.

The humans who were left behind on the surface dwindled. Perhaps Celestia’s attack that cost them
their civilization also cost them their technology and all the knowledge their old god had left provided
them.We do know that Celestia is capable of such weather manipulation as we’ve seen with Dragonspine,
andthey are capable of plunging people into enough chaos that they forget knowledge of their own
oldcivilizations, as was the case with Tsurumi Island. With the humans subdued, Kairos stuck underwater
and the moon sisters dead, that left Phanesunaccounted for, Perhaps Phanes fled after their defeat in
Celestia’s hands, biding their time until theycould meet the traveler. Or perhaps they have been taken by
the powers that can be Celestia, waiting for the traveler to save them.

The Chasm

The Chasm

is an area located west of Lisha, Liyueand is the primary source of ores in thenation. Recently, a series of
mysterious accidents led the entire mine to be closed, putting itsworkers out of a job for the time
being.Esther remarks that the Chasm's climate is completely different from the rest of Liyue, thoughshe
does not give any details on how.According to legend, The Chasm was formed by a falling star
somewhere around 6000 yearsago. This meteorite had a “Proud and agitated” temper. During the Archon
War, the constantstrife caused this meteorite to leap back into the heavens, leaving behind the massive
expansethat is The Chasm. Duyun Ruins was created by a fragment of the same meteorite. Legends
alsosaid that this was the area where Rex lapis and Azhdaha clashed in battle.

64/110
65/110
66/110
Sometime during or after the Archon War, the people of Liyue came to the area to mine.Azhdaha, who
resided inside, greatly suffered when the humans disturbed the Ley Lines within.Rex Lapis and the
Mountain Shaper, Moon Carver, and a third unknown Adepti would fight thecrazed elemental being,
fighting their way down to the deepest depths of the Chasm, which alsoresulted in the creation of
Dragonfall. (Dragonfall is a rare ore used in forging formed fromElemental Reactions.) After Azhdaha was
sealed, humans returned to the Chasm once more tomine, In Liyue, the Chasm and Duyun Ruins are two
known locations majorly impacted by thecataclysm. Monsters poured out of the Chasm and in response,
Rex Lapis sent the Millelith todefend and evacuate the miners. An unnamed Yaksha who had once
abandoned their duty todefend Liyue returned to fight alongside the Millelith, both the Yaksha and the
Millelith whochose to lead the vanguard ultimately perished in battle. What occurred in Duyen Ruins
isunknown, but its people decided to abandon the city and move to Liyue Harbor. None of therefugees nor
the adepti have spoken about what happened there.

In recent times, a mysterious series of accidents has led to the Chasm being closed entirely despite
itswealth. Hilichirls have taken over the area outside the Chasm and even treasure hoarders are scouting
it asa result of less activity. Treasure hoarders were originally miners from the Chasm. Recent exploration
hasalso led to the inexplicit discovery and awakening of Ruin Serpents that originally lied dormant in
themines. It is speculated that the Chasm is very deep, and the depths of the Chasm belong to the Abyss
now.

Guizhong

Guizhong is the Late Lord of Dust. She is best known as one of the Gods who presided over the
Guiliassembly, which she established alongside Morax, she is also known for her mechanisms such as
theGuizhong Ballista. She was kind hearted and wise but not particularly powerful, so she worked
alongside the more powerfulMorax to rule the Guili Assembly together. Guizhong had a particular interest
in mechanics. TheGuizhong Ballista was one of her handiworks, built with the aid of the adepti. She also
apparentlycollected Khaenri’ah technology such as ruin machines for research.During her life, she grew
close to Rex Lapis. During their first meeting, she tried to hide how excited shewas to give him the stone
dumbbell that would symbolize their pledge, and many of the extant texts aboutthe Guili Assembly
reference their bond.

67/110
68/110
69/110
Guizhong was born before the Archon War and initially established her civilization at an unknownlocation.
At some point, she met Rex Lapis (or Morax) amid a field of Glaze Lilies and presented himwith a stone
dumbbell now known as the Memory of Dust as a mark of their pledge, although they never made a formal
contact with each other.Guizhong taught her people agriculture, which greatly expanded their sphere of
influence. Whiledisplaying her handiwork to Morax, she dubbed the area “the Plains of the Returning and
Departing.” or,Guili Plains. The Guili assembly was established, co-ruled by the two gods alongside,
Marchosius, Godof the Stove. (Or now known as Guoba!)At some point in time, Guizhong created the
Realm of Clouds, located in Luhua Pool. Some unknown point later, the adepti built an abode next to it to
house the evil and ancient artifacts (ruin machines) shecollected while researching mechanics.During the
Archon War, Guizhong and the other adepti fought to protect the people of Guili against themany evil gods
and monsters that had plagued Liyue’s lands. 3,700 years ago, Guizhonf lost her life in afierce battle over
Guili Plains, during which “black dust choked the heavens and a thousand rockssplintered. She died
amidst the Glaze Lilies, wearing one last lonely smile as she asked Morax to forgetabout the stone
dumbbell she gave him and bemoaned the end of their journey together. A massive floodswe[t through the
Guili Assembly. It’s inhabitants, with the help of The God of Stove and the Adepti, traveling south for ten
days until they reached the land that would become Liyue Harbor.

Glaze Liles were a key element of the Rite of parting,as Guizhong was a dear friend to Zhongli andGlaze
Lilies were her favorite flower.

The Sunchildren of Enkanomia

The Sunchildren or Phaethons, were the puppet rulers of Enkanomia during the period after the
DainichiMikoshi (or artificial sun) was built before Orobaxi assumed control. After Aberaku created the
artificial sun and staved off the Bathysmal Vishaps, peace was established inEnkanomia. But a cabal of
corrupt nobles would manipulate the people of Enkanomia into worshipingthe Artificial Sun as a god, and
chose a child to be the Sunchild and rule over the land. As they werechildren, the Sunchildren could not
truly rule competently, and were instead manipulated to commit

70/110
71/110
72/110
heinous deeds as the nobles who controlled them profited from their misrule. Because of this,
theSunchildren would become hated by the people of Enkanomia, who scapegoated them and blamed
themfor willful ignorance even though they were arare that the Sunchildren were being
Manipulated.Despite their tyranny, the Sunchildren were still children; they led lonely lives and lamented
their exsistances. But the officials tasked with taking care of them were forbidden from saying a word to
them. The Nobles knew that as the Sunchildren grew into adults, they would eventually realize they were
beingmanipulated. To prevent this, they established a ceremony called Rite of the Solar Return where,
when aSunchild reached a certain age, they would be taken to the inner sanctum of the Dainichi Mikoshi,
whichwould result in them being incinerated by the artificial sun’s high temperatures. They were
literally burned alive. There were seven Sunchildren killed in total.During the time of the first Sunchild,
Aberaku opposed the Sunchild and the people who controlledthem. As a result, he was accused of high
treason, and the first Sunchild had him imprisoned in theDainichi Mikoshi for life. Upon his death, his
clothes and body were enshrined in various places inacknowledgement of his achievements. There was
also a resistance group formed against the sunchildren rulers. It was led by Spartacus alsoknown as
Supada no Hiko. Unfortunately he was captured and tortured by the rulers. This made him blind, and he
was eventually imprisoned in the “Serpent’s Heart.” The other members of the resistancetried to continue
their mission but they lacked funds. These people soon found out they could creat andsell “Dragonbone
Orbs' ' to get money. Eventually, the resistance made so much money that they stoppedtheir mission. It
was highly likely that the formula for creating the “Dragonbone Orb '' was leaked to theresistance by the
sunchildren ruler itself. It was an indirect method to suppress the resistance and itworked perfectly. Soon
there was no resistance against the rulers and the people were forced to live inoppression.Eventually an
Enkanomiyan child would discover Orobaxi, who was hiding in a cave due to havingescaped the Archon
War. The child would ask Orobaxi to become their god, and he agreed, overthrowingthe Sunchild’s rule
and becoming Enkanomia’s rule.

“Traveler, you have no idea how much your arrival sets my heart at ease. Haha, so there are manymore
fascinating places to see in this world.”“It’s just a shame that I have this festival called the

Rite of Solar Return

to attend.”“How about this, Traveler? Tell me how you came here.”“Once the festival has ended, I’ll find an
opportunity to sneak out of the Dainishi Mikoshi”

The Nameless Bard of Mondstadt

The nameless bard was a boy who lived in Old Mondstadt 2,600 years ago, during the time
of Decarabian’s reign. He befriended the wind spirit who would eventually become Barbatos, the
anemoarchon of The Seven, and Barbatos’ vessel,l Venti, was made in his image.Trapped within the Lord
of the Tower’s storm wall, he yearned to see the world beyond and bonded withthe nameless wisp of wind
that would become Barbatos. The nameless bard led the rebellion againstDecarabian with the wind spirit,
Decarabian's former lover

Amos

, a knight, (possibly

Gunnhildr

) and

ared-haired warrior .

The rebellion succeeded and slew Decarabian. However, Amos and the bard were mortally wounded
in battle and never got the chance to see the world beyond the tower’s walls; the bard lived long enough
tosee Decarabian’s fall, propped up in the red-haired warrior's arms with the wind spirit by his side.
After the bard died, the wind spirit ascended to become Barbatos. Barbatos’ first use of his power was to
createa vessel, Venti, in the nameless image to pay homage to him and live in the world he never had the
chanceto see.

Decarabian’s Mondstadt

76/110
77/110
78/110
Decarabian’s Mondstadt, commonly referred to as Old Mondstadt, was the original location of thenation of
Mondstadt. It was created by the God of Storms, Decarabian, who built his capital city within adeep valley
and created a large tower in the center for which he ruled. His reign ended 2,600 years ago, when his
people rebelled against him and ultimately slew him. Afterwards, the newly crowned AnemoArchon,
Barbatos, moved the people of Mondstadt to Cider Lake, where the current day City of Mondstadt was
built.During the cataclysm five hundred years ago, Dvalin took up residence in Decarabian’s tower to
recover from the injuries incurred during his battle with Durin. In subsequent years, after the people of
Mondstadthad forgotten about Dvalin, the area of Old Mondstadt became known as Stormterror’s
Lair.Little is known about the initial creation of Mondstadt, but Decarabian’s City is described as a
“dreamof prosperity” which was “created entirely by his divine might.” His territory spread to the
BrightcrownMountains and Windwail Highland areas to the east and south, as evidenced by the
ornamentation onsome of the ruins in the area. Besides Decarabian’s City, notable cloisters of ruins in its
ornamentationstyle include the ruins in Brightcrown Canyon leading into the city and the ruins around
Cecilia Garden. When the region of Mondstadt was blanketed in snow and ice as a result of Andrius’
powers, Decarabiancreated an impenetrable storm wall around his capital city to protect those dwelling
within from the bitter cold. The architectural style of the ruins in Decarabian’s Mondstadt is quite distinct
from those found in therest of modern-day Mondstadt, making it easy to identify ruins outside of
Stormterror’s Lair area that arerelated to it.Tall bridges are a distinctive feature within Decarabian’s City
and in the surrounding area. Notably, the ruins associated with Decarabian’s style lack symbols otherwise
commonly seen in Teyvatsuch as the triquetra. Instead, a symbol seen on the ruins of Decarabian’s
Mondstadt is a cercele’e, as seenabove. In a similar fashion, the Wolf of The North arena in Wolvendom is
decorated with Arabesques, another type of plant-like design. The structural integrity of Decaranian’s ruins
are apparently quite sturdy despite their age, remaining inrather good condition in the 2,600 years since
it’s fall. Alice destroyed several arcades inside the tower tomake it easier to climb, and the tower has
remained stable despite that.

79/110
80/110
81/110
Decarabian micromanaged his city, to the point of arranging who lived where. Even in the present,
theresidential area of the city is clearly delineated, suggesting that the city’s layout was also
somethingDecarabian determined.Under Decarabian;s rule, certain musical tunes and chords were
banned due to their association withdissent and rebellion.Based on the similarity between ruin structures
as well as in-game documentation, the original scope of Old Mondstadt’s territory encompassed the
Brightcrownd Mountains and Windwail Highland areas andwent as far south as the Teleport Waypoint
between Liyue and Dawn Winery. It is currently unknown howfar north or west it covered. The most well-
known settlement of Decarabian’s Mondstadt was his capital city, which is now known asStormterror’s
Lair. It is located in an extremely deep, possible man-made valley; it is currently one of thedeepest
locations of the explorable part of Teyvat.

Istaroth

Istaroth is a god with control over time and wind, and was likely one of the four shining shades of
thePrimordial one, or Phanes. She is known by a plethora of titles, including the God of Moments, the
Godof Time, Kairos, the Thousand Winds of Time (or simply Thousand Winds), Tokyo Ookami, and
theUndying Wind. She has been worshiped in Mondstadt and Enkanomia both before and concurrently
with the rise of TheSeven. Both the worship of her and even the knowledge of her existence has been all
forgotten inMondstdt, though her legacy has been subtly preserved through phrases related to “the winds
of time.” the people of Enkanomia continued worshiping her even after being separated from the surface
world, seeingher as the only one who had forsaken them. The practice seems to have waned following
Orobashi’sappearance and disappeared altogether after the move to Watatsumi Island. After the arrival of
the first throne of the heavens, the Primordial One appeared and fought against theSeven Sovereigns of
the old world. To that end it created four shining shades of itself, one of which wasIstaroth. 40 years later,
after the Primordial One’s appearance, the Seven Sovereigns were vanquished andthe seven nations
submitted to it’s authority. Istaroth may have contributed to the new world thePrimordial made.

82/110
83/110
84/110
Following the arrival of the Second One Who Came, (Celestia?) and the catastrophe that followed,Istaroth
presumably participated in the war on the Primordial One’s side against the Second one WhoCame. In the
midst of the massive destruction, the land of Enanomia sank below the waters and was cutoff from
Teyvat.Istaroth’s direct role in Mondstadt’s history is currently unknown, but in the early days of
Barbatos’Mondstadt, she was worshiped alongside the Anemo Archon himself.Venti amassed power
during the Archon War as a result of Gunnhidr Clan’s worship of him, and he later participated in the
rebellion against Decarabian. Before he gained power, he was a “single thread of thethousand winds that
rode through the northern lands,” an elemental spirit without any divine power.Istaroth herself is known as
the “thousand winds,” but no direct relation between the two has explicitly been made. After the fall of
Decarabian’s Mondstadt, Barbatos ascended to godhood and became the AnemoArchon. During the
formation of the new Mondstadt, at least three of it;s prominent clans, the Gunnhildr Clan, the Imunlaukr
Clan, and the Lawrence Clan all worshiped the Anemo Archon and the God of Time. The worship of both
gods was primarily conducted on a tall cliff top facing the eastern sea, likely at theThousand Winds
Temple which shared its name with one of Istaoth’s epithets.Somewhat ironically, Istaroth was forgotten
over time and people came to believe that Barbatos was thesole deity of worship in Mondstadt. Two
notable incidents may have contributed to loss of information pertaining to Istaroth: During the Mondstadt
Aristocracy’s corrupt period, the Lawrence Clan suppressedknowledge about Mondstadt’s history and
destroyed historical records and relics to hide their owndegeneracy. After the fall of the aristocracy, the
Mondstadt Library, once the largest library in northernTeyvat, was reduced to a sixth of its former size
following the Great Fire of Fall Equinox.Raiden Ei believes that her sister, Raiden Makoto asked Istaroth
for assistance with her plan tomanipulate time to plant the Sacred Sakura, as both her and Yae Miko were
unconvinced that Makotowould be able to do it herself. This was probably done so when the tree was
planted, the people wouldthink that the tree had been there from the very beginning of Inazuma, and not
get suspicious of it’srandom appearance. After Enkanomia fell into the depths, their pleas and prayers
went unanswered by the Primordial One andit’s three other shades, Only Istaroth continued to answer
them, and there were “scribes of TokoyoOokami” who dedicated themselves to recording history and the
passage of time in the lightless land. Outof reverence for her, her worshippers refused to say her name
directly and usually opted to call her Kairos, her traditional name, or it’s Narukami-style rendering, Tokyo
Ookami. In the event that they used her true, secret name, they wrote it backwards.Istaroth’s power of
“undying wind” was recognized as one of the major elements in Enkanomia, alongwith the Bathysmal
Visaps’ “water”

85/110
86/110
87/110
In Mondstadt, Istaroth’s legacy has been preserved primarily through the phrase “winds of time.”
Thecarvings on the sundials at the Thousand Wind Temples and the Nameless Island leave
messagesassociated with both her and Barbatos which respectively read:“Seeds of stories, brought by the
wind and cultivated by time.”“Stories brought on the wind will bloom into legends in due time.”During the
quest Time and Wind, a faint voice is heard saying “an ancient tale comes whisked in thewind… In time, it
will grow and sprout once again..” while fighting an Eye of the Storm by the Sundialnear the Thousand
Winds Temple.Hilichurls may also have connections to Istaroth and the Primordial One. Jacob Musk
believes thathilichurls worship elemental power itself, giving the example that hilichurls worship the power
of Anemorather than the Anemo Archon, and there is a notable cloister of hilichurls dancing around the
Sundial thatthe traveler may be commissioned to exterminate. According to the people from Enkanomia,
Istaroth isthe personification of undying wind, and her name is sometimes rendered as the “thousand
winds of time.” Furthermore, the Musk Family’s research has indicated that the Hilichurlian word “Unu,”
whichmeans “one,” is also a holy word which they use to efe to gods. Altogether, this points towards
aconnection between hilichurls, the Primordial One and it’s shining shades, and the unified
humancivilization that once existed (which Enkanomia was originally part of.)

Kitsune Saiguu

The Kitsune Saiguu, “Fox High Priestess”, also known as Lady Saiguu was a prominent historical figurein
Inazuma who was worshiped as a kitsune goddess. She was a descendent of the Hakushin Clan, was
aclose ally of Raiden Ei, alongside the oni Chiyo, and served a mentor-like role towards a shrine
maidennamed Asase Hibiki.“Do not be blinded. Do not waver. Keep walking the path that you believe
in.”Around 500 years ago, the Kitsune Saiguu became familiar with a certain group of mortals.
Includedamong them were a “shrine maiden” (Hibiki), an “easy going young man” (possible
KamunaHarunosuke), a “Kanjou'' (Hiiragi Hiroshi), and a “clan who used ingenious techniques to make
manmade meteors bloom in the skies.” (The Naganohara Family, Including Yoimiya!)A certain “dark
disaster”, likely the cataclysm befell the land. To protect Ioroi from it, the KitsuneSaiguu tricked him from
staying involved by playing a game of hide and seek with him. Raiden Ei tasked

88/110
89/110
90/110
Kitsune Saiguu with protecting Inazuma in her stead when she went to Khaenri’ah, making it their
final parting; both were aware that a tragedy would ensue.Later on, after her final parting with the Raiden
Shogun, the Kitsune Saiguu disappeared into the “deepdarkness,” never to be seen again. In her dying
moments, Kitsune Saiguu asked the “dark will” thatgnawed at her to spare her memories. As her body and
mind were consumed, her memories were powerful enough that some of it remained unsullied as it settled
into the earth as filth, thus creatingKazari.Around the same time Kitsune Saiguu died, Takamine the
Mistsplitter disappeared during a battleagainst the dark forces, while Chiyo was consumed by a “beast of
sin” and was corrupted by it, drawingher blade against Ei only to be defeated and run away. Mikoshi
Doukei, Chiyo’s biological son, secludedhimself in Konda Village out of shame over his mother’s betrayal,
while her adoptive son Mikoshi Nagamasa joined the Shogunate to restore the Mikoshi Clan’s honor
instead. In the wake of their absences, the Mt. Yougou group went their separate ways. The Great Tengu
went ona self-imposed exile over her failure to protect the Kitsune Saiguu, Leaving Teruyo behind.
Kamuna leftfor another country in the “fury of his mourning.” The Earth Kitsune and the Sky Kitsune
turned their forms into stone to await her return. Some of these statues, such as the lit Earth Kitsune
Statues, can beinteracted with using the Memento Lens. Hibiki took over as leader of the Grand Narukami
Shrine, awaiting Takamine’s return.Kazari, who formed from the remnants of the Kistune Saiguu’s
memories within the filth thatcontaminated the land, manifested in order to continue performing the Sacred
Sakura Cleansing Ritual.Decades later, when Kamuna returned to Inazuma, she appeared before him and
asked him to perform theritual, initially causing him to mistake her for the realo Kitsune Saiguu, despite
quickly realizing Kazari’strue nature, Kamuna performed the ritual, and spared her.

Kazari

Kazari is a shrine maiden that describes herself as condensed “filth” originating from inherited memoriesof
the late Kitsune Saiguu. Unable to completely disperse, they manifested into the earth and rotted. Her
purpose while present in Inazuma included carefully watching over Narukami Island and purifyingthese
festering evocations through the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual. After Kazari completes
her aforementioned tasks alongside the Traveler, she solemnly dematerialized and leaves behind her
mask; aforging blueprint for the Hakushin Ring.

Chiyo

93/110
Mikoshi Chiyo, also known as Torachiyo, was an oni and a member of the Mikoshi Clan who livedabout
500 years ago. She was the biological mother of Iwakura Doukei and the adoptive mother of Mikoshi
Nagamasa. She was a close ally of the Raiden Shogun, Raiden Ei.Chiyo was once a valuable ally of the
Raiden Shogun Raiden Ei and campaigned with her against thedark forces that emerged during the
cataclysm. However, she was swallowed whole by a “beast of sin”with a tiger’s body and a snake’s tail.
And while inside its stomach, was “tainted by a deep sin” andwitnessed her comrades being torn apart by
the beasts’ jaw. Even though she managed to rip the beastapart and slay it, she was forever changed: she
would later turn her blade on Ei, after which she wasdefeated and badly injured. Her sword-arm and horn
were severed. She then fled and disappeared into theforest. Her ultimate fate is unknown. People believe
she was slain by either the tungu, the Shuumatsuban,or even the Iwakura Clan. Others claim that she
encountered an “oni-masked, sword-bearing doll,” likelyreferring to the Maguu Kenki.

Sasayuri

Sasayuri was a cherished tungu general from inazuma who served the RaidenShogun and was killed
during a civil war between the Shogun and the people of the Great SerpentOrobaxi from Watatsumi
Island. Very little is known about him.More about what happened during theCataclysm in Inazuma

Gold’s attempts to save Khaenri’ah

96/110
Inazuma was attacked by Rifthounds so very long ago, which were created by Gold during the
Cataclysm.Durin was also created by Gold, and we know that there is a ruin machine digging up the
Chasm rightnow. It was not Celestia trying to stop the Gods from going to Khaenri’ah, but the humans of
Khaenri’ah,more specifically, Gold. It seems Gold tried to keep the Gods distracted from Khaenri’ah for as
long as possible. Durin invaded Mondstadt, Zhongli was busy with the battle with Azhdaha and Raiden
with thedarkness in Inazuma. We know that when Orobaxi read the book that gave him Divine Knowledge
of the world, he wassentenced to sacrifice himself to Celestia, and the Raiden Shogun carried out this
execution. It could bethat the Archons, the ones in possession of Gnosis, are also the “chess pieces” of
Celestia, doing their willwhen needed in exchange for their Divine throne. Gold probably knew this, and
created severalcatastrophes to attempt to delay the Gods, yet the 2 we know who died were Makoto and
the DendroArchon, the latter of which is presumed to also have used some sort of alternate persona or
puppet.I think that Makoto went to Khaenri’ah only because she knew Ei would protect Inazuma from
therifthounds, and Makoto knew she had to go because she was called by Celestoa and did not want to
facetheir wrath. She went to Khaenri’ah, not prepared to die, and faced the Catastrophe, and
somethingsimilar happened to the Dendro Archon, (presumably). Gld was able to successfully
distract/delay Venti, and was probably the origin of Zhongl’s distraction too.If all this lines up, Gold,
alongside with the Khaenri’ahn government, knew that whatever it is they weredoing would invoice the
wrath of the gods, and they even went through extra measures to try and avoidKhaenri’ah’s execution.
Unfortunately, in vain.

The Existence of Vishap People

Butafterwards, Kokomi dismisses the existence of them.

From the book “Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku,” It is mentioned that the people of
Enkanomiaabruptly stopped their research about vishap-people. The researchers were finding signs that
could provethe existence of vishap-people, but they later insisted that there are no vishap-people. This is
whatKokomi has been taught as it was passed down generations. This entire thing could be created
byvishap-people to not raise any suspicion, so that they can integrate with humans without being
askedabout their pupils. From the book “Before Sun and Moon,” vishaps were the original resident of
Teyvat. Humans and godsare aliens who took over Teyvat. So, the vishap may have had to evolve into
humans to continue living inthe world. Since Enjou has never lied to us even once, it is safe to assume
that this entire thing about theVishap people is correct. This automatically directs suspicion to Chongyun
and Baizhu. Both of themhave slender pupils just as Enjou described. Chongyun suffers from an excess
of Yang (positive) energy.Vishaps are creatures of the light (elemental) realm, so it might be that
Chongyun has an excess of thisvishap energy. This might explain his weakness to hot and warm things.
Chongyun’s lore states thatunlike normal people, he can faint if he stands in the sun for too long. It seems
similar to how Itto isallergic to beans due to his excess Oni blood. Vishaps like to be in dark and cold
places, they cannot stand being exposed to light. Tsumi, who is half-vishap, was in Enkanomia to shut
down the Dainici Mikoshi’slight. All of this points to Chongyun being half-vishap with excess “vishap”
energy. For Baizhu, it becomes more obvious as he carries around a snake. Baizhu also suffers from a
veryweak physical body. It might again be due to him living in the human realm. His body may not
haveevolved as most vishap-people who live in the human realm do.Overall, it doesn’t seem like either
Baizhu or Chongyun are aware that they are half-vishap. TheBathysmal Vishaps are highly intelligent and
fast-evolving. They must have integrated with humans of Teyvat long ago, and maybe after 1000s of
years, even they, forgot they were once vishaps. So now theytreat themselves as normal humans with
only their pupils being different.

Three Realms Gate Offering Story

This event is a continuation to the World Quest where we fetch “Bloodbranch Coral” from Enkanomia. After
that quest, the “Bloodbranch Coral” was supposed to be used in a ceremony by Kokomi. It is calledthe
“Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri,” performed to reverse the “Holy Soil” phenomenon on WatatsumiIsland. The
traveler checks up on Kokomi to know if the ceremony was a success.“Holy Soil” means soil without any
nutrients. The goal of this ceremony is to replenish nutrients back into Watatsumi’s soil. This is needed
because Watatsumi island is an artificial island. But unfortunately,

the ceremony didn’t replenish nutrients as it used to. It turns out that the problem lies in
Enkanomiya. There is an excess of abyssal darkness in Enkanomia which is hindering the ceremony. This
is due to adeal between the Bathysmal Vishaps and an Abyss Lector, Enjou. The Vishaps agreed to allow
the AbyssOrder to pass through Enkanomia. In exchange, Enjou was to help them destroy the Dainichi
Mikoshi, which will return Enkanomiya to its eternal darkness. But eventually, the Vishaps realized they
were betrayed. The abyssal energy coming from the void realm started to harm them. Tsumi, who lived
with theVishaps in Enkanomiya also became aware of the situation. She managed to protect the Dainichi
Mikoshiwith a ritual. She did this to protect the Vishaps beneath the Dainichi Mikoshi. Tsumi was raised
byVishaps and is believed to be a Vassal of Watatsumi by Kokomi. Enjou also says that she is actually
areptilian, one of the vishap-people. Both describe vishap-people and vassals to have vertical pupils.
Tsumilater saw the Watatsumi army coming down to Enkanomiya. She helped the soldiers that were
wounded. After meeting with Tsumi, the traveler helps in dispersing the abyssal darkness. Soon after,
Tsumi showsthere is a great darkness beneath the Dainichi Mikoshi. She asks the traveler to confront the

person whocaused the darkness. We soon meet Enjou who reveals Tsumi’s actual plans. Tsumi was the
one whocreated the darkness under the Dainichi Mikoshi, so that the Vishaps could rescue the Coral-
Vishapsunder it. The coral Vishaps are special Vishaps that the traveler killed to obtain Bloodbranch
Coral. Tsumiwanted to permanently seal the source of Bloodbrance Coral. This was one of Bathysmal
Vishap’s goalsin the deal with the Abyss Order, but since they were betrayed by the Abyss, they had to
find a new way,so that no more Vishaps would be killed in the future to obtain the corals. The new
darkness beneath theDainichi Mikoshi was a distraction for the traveler. The traveler rushes back and
fights with the eliteVishaps to prevent them from sealing Bloodbranch Coral. If the traveler had not
stopped the Vishaps,Watatsumi island would not be able to obtain Bloodbranch Corals in the future for
their ceremony, whichwould result in starvation of the people of Watatsumi.Soon after we meet Tsuimi who
is furious to see what the traveler did. She tries one last time to shutdown the Dainichi Mikoshi but fails.
She is very confused as to why she can’t destroy it.The traveler gives her fragments of pendant given to
us by Kokomi and Enjou. The pendant fits perfectlywith the one Tsumi had since she was small. It meant
that she belongs in Watatsumi island, not with theVishaps. Tsumi chooses to go back to Vishaps as they
are the ones that raised her and who she considersher family. The traveler informs Kokomi about the
situation in Enkanomiya. Kokomi decides to find another way to perform the ceremony that does not
require Bloodbranch Coral. This way, no more Vishaps will be killed just to obtain Bloodbranch Corals in
the future.

Raiden Story Quest Part 2

500 years ago, during the cataclysm, Makoto left to do something in Khaenri’ah. They did not specifywhat
she did there. Back in Inazuma, Ei was left alone. At this point, there was no Sacred Sakura inInazuma as
per Ei’s knowledge. Ei somehow finds out about Makoto’s whereabouts and rushes toKhaenri’ah to
rescue her. Sadly, she is too late and Makoto is on the verge of death. With whatever littletime Makoto has
left, Ei extracts Makoto’s consciousness and brings it back to Inazuma. She puts it beneath the Grand
Narukami Shrine and hides the realms entrance. But at this time, when she is inInazuma she sees the
Sacred Sakura tree everywhere, the same as what we see now. Now Ei is confused. The Sacred Sakura
was not there when she left Inazuma to find Makoto. When she asked other people of Inazuma about it,
they all said it was there from the start, as long as they can remember. Ei doesn’tunderstand this
explanation. As for her, the tree never existed in Inazuma. Nevertheless, at that time there were still
monsters from the Cataclysm in Inazuma, so Ei decides toignore this for now and resumes her fight in
Inazuma. Surprisingly, the fighting goes very well, comparedto last time before the tree existed. It seemed
like the Sacred Sakura greatly helped Ei in battle. “Withoutthe Sacred Sakura, Inazuma would have likely
been completely swallowed up centuries ago by thatdisaster and the filth.” Ei doesn’t understand what is
happening, but as everyone insists, the tree hasalways been there. She decides to put the matter aside. At
this point Ei has lost her sister and eventually this grief leads her to pursue her goal of eternity. Thisis her
own version of Eternity. She creates the puppet, programs it to enforce eternity, and goes intomeditation
in her Plain of Euthymia.Fast forward to the present, in her second story quest, we enter Makoto’s realm
of consciousness. The puppet and Ei have a showdown and the traveler is kicked out of the realm. When
we finally return to therealm, Ei is surprised to see us not aged for even a single day. For Ei, centuries had
passed. She had beenfighting with the puppet for what seems like an Eternity. The traveler arrives
precisely at the point when the two were to have their final fight.Once this is over, Ei plants a seed in the
realm which is shown to be the Sacred Sakura. Here is theexplanation: Makoto got help from Istaroth, the
god of time. The time at which Ei plants the seed is at the beginning of time, or at least there were any
living animals on Inazuma. The seed is planted in the past, but Ei does not plant it in the past, she only
plants the seed in the realm. It is moved to the past byIstaroth. So, Ei plants the seed, Istaroth moves the
planted seed to the past at the beginning of time. Now,only Ei remembers that the tree didn’t exist. This is
because she hadn’t planted the tree yet, and also because she was the one who planted it. Makoto
prepared the seed for Ei so the tree could help in protecting Inazuma. Makoto knew Ei would go into
meditation. The tree protected and absorbed monstersuntil Ei’s absence. It did that until the time Ei was
finally ready to change her mind and grow up. Makotoknew her sister so well that she calculated her
actions and with the God of Time prepared the seed thatwould protect Inazuma until the time Ei was
finally ready.

What about the time? What about the centuries that had passed when Ei and the puppet were fightingand
where does that take place? Well, because the god of time was involved, that realm had its own flowof
time, or you could even say that “time flowed in every direction.” It has a completely different, separate flow
of time than Teyvat. All of this is possible due to the god of time. Now this entire thing about the Sacred
Sakura is not new, it has happened before. Probably multipletimes. In the book “Sun and Moon,” it is
referred to as “The Parable of the Tree.” A gardener plants thetrees branch, and the priest, who is the
gardener, says that the tree will take 500 years to grow. But themoment the gardener plants the branch,
the tree is fully grown. For it is the god of moments who is able totake “seeds” from this moment into the
past and the future.

More about the Chasm

After the meteorite in the Chasm flew back up into the sky, it left behind some shards. Morax used
thoseshards to create “Orichalceous Time Dial” and “Tiny Miracle’s Earrings.”The battle between
Azhdajha and Morax from the Chasm also destroyed Tianqiu Valley.During the Cataclysm of 500 years
ago, many monsters of the abyss emerged from the Chasm. The areas of Linju Pass and the Dunyu Ruins
were also destroyed during these times. The yaksha that died during this time wielded the Calamity
Queller polearm. After the Cataclysm, thePrototype and Blackcliff weapons were forged from the ores
obtained from the Chasm. The tunnels of Blackcxliff forge are also directly connected to the Chasm. The
underground mines of the CHams actually expand to the south of Liyue Harbor. These are minesfrom the
Chasm that reach the blackcliff forge from under Mt. Tianheng.Shizhuang mentions that the Chasm was
sealed off after some miner dug up something strange. Anyminer who saw that “Thing” that was dug up
would go into a coma. The sealing of the Chasm has alsoforced the Blackcliff Forge to shut down. Some
miners of the Chasm joined the Treasure Hoarders due tounemployment.Shitou used to be in the trade of
selling Jade rocks, but once the Chasm was closed, he started a new business of “Jade Mystery.” It is a
gampling game he designed to survive by selling uncut rocks.Xingxi now only takes advanced orders ever
since the Chasm was sealed off. This is because she has losther suppliers from the Chasm, and cannot
create any more jewelry.

Zhiqiao from the Teapot Quest was also suffering from the Chasm’s closure. That is why she had
to borrow Krosl’s Smaragdus Jadeite hairpins.Chang the Ninth went broke and had to sell his entire
collection of books. This is because his family business was closely tied to the Chasm as well. The
traveler and Xinqiu saved him from selling his laststockpile of Cor Lapis.
