stranded. Notes: *flexible conduit with maximum length of 300 mm shall be permitted. ** PVC shall be
used for communication installation. CONDUCTORS / WIRES & CONDUIT Actual load should not exceed
80% of the rating of the over current device and ampacity of the cable. Should be bolt-on type.
Circuit breakers should be sized based on kAIC system calculations of the building. Lighting and power
outlets shall not be less than 14kAIC. Number of overcurrent device should not exceed more than 42-
poles and construction shall conform to code standards. Bus bar shall be sized and cut based on
standard ampacity. Crimping of bus bar shall not be permitted. Location should be accessible for
operation & maintenance. Permanent label of branch circuits should be provided. Multiple wirings
shall not be permitted. Dead front cover should be in place. Provide cover for unused breaker slots &
knockouts. Neutral bus & ground bus shall be properly sized. Enclosure should be properly connected
to ground wire. Breakers with ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) shall be used for branch circuits
serving power outlets for comfort rooms, cooking equipment and outdoor electrical loads and signages.
PANEL BOARD 6-5 Part 6 : Electrical Guidelines Wiring of lighting fixtures shall be line to neutral with
ground wire. Fluorescent Lamp shall have high power factor ballast and shall be in a metal box
enclosure. Enclosure shall be properly grounded. The LESEE shall provide at least one (1) low wattage
light (night lighting) with a dedicated branch circuit. This shall be switched-on after mall operation and
normally off during mall operation. LIGHTING FIXTURES All convenience outlet shall be 3-prong ( for
line, neutral & ground). Use wall outlet with ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) - for Comfort Rooms
,cooking equipment, outdoor load & signages. SWITCH/ CONVENIENCE OUTLETS All sockets &
convenience outlet shall be 3-prong ( for hot, neutral & ground Wire). Use wall outlet with ground fault
circuit interrupter (GFCI) in lieu of branch circuit with no GFCI . All lighting fixtures should be provided
with ground wire. Branch circuit should be protected with GFCI. DEVICES Use magnetic starter or solid
state soft starter. For magnetic starter, use 110V coil voltage contactors w/ a 380V /110V control
transformer. MOTOR CONTROL Wiring Details (1 Phase Load) For lighting & power - use 230V,60hz lie
neutral + ground. Color code: neutral wire (white) & ground (green) Line1 (red) or Line2 (yellow) or
Line3 (blue) Wiring Details (3 Phase Load) For motors - use 380V,60hz (3)line + ground shall be used.
For Mixed Loads: 380V,60Hz (3)line + neutral + ground shall be used Color code: neutral wire (white) &
ground wire (green) Line1 (red) or Line2 (yellow) or Line3 (blue) WIRING DETAILS 6-6 Part 6 : Electrical
Guidelines Tenant must provide the necessary electrical requirements by answering The Retail Design
Management Questionnaire (please refer to 6-8 to 6-9) for SM to make the necessary appropriation.
FILLING UP OF RETAIL DESIGN MANAGEMENT QUESTIONNAIRE Provide an isolated neutral bus in each
panel for connection of circuit neutral conductors. Provide a separate ground bus marked with green
stripe along its front and bonded to steel for connecting grounding conductors. An insulated
equipment grounding conductor shall be provided in all feeder and branch circuits, including lighting
circuit GROUNDING Provide dedicated branch circuit. Metal backing should be provided for
transformer. Metal parts should be connected to ground wire. Branch circuit shoud be protected with
GFCI. SIGNAGE Provide at least one (1) low wattage light with a dedicated branch circuit . This should
be switch-on after mall operation and normally switch-off during Mall Operation. NIGHT/PILOT LIGHT 6-7

Part 6 : Electrical Guidelines Testing & Commissioning All electrical works shall be under the direct
supervision of duly Registered Master Electrician (RME) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
Engineering Personnel, who will interpret and evaluate the drawings and specifications, shall have the
power to reject any work and material which in their judgment are not in full accordance therewith.
NOTE Tenant electrical contractor should submit a “Certificate of Commissioning” of the electrical
system . The Lessor shall have the right to witness any or all of the final measurement shown in the
certificate of commissioning. The certificate of commissioning shall include at least of the following items
(“Final” readings after all balancing adjustments have been made) : BALANCING OF LOAD CURRENT
READING DURING LEAN AND PEAK LOAD ( MAIN AND BRANCHES ) MEGGER TESTING ( MAIN AND
BRANCHES ) VOLTAGE READING (line to line , line to neutral & line to ground) TAGGING (Labeling) OF
LOADS USING MANUAL OR ELECTRONIC DYMO MACHINE. INTRODUCTION 6-10 Part 6 : Electrical
Guidelines Part 7 Kitchen & LPG Guidelines All works shall be in accordance with the latest government
regulations, Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical and Mechanical Codes, and other codes being
implemented by other approving bodies. All corrections and additional notations on the plans shall be
followed. Any deviation from the approved plan shall have special approval by the Administration
office/SM EDD. During construction and before the store can open, Administration office shall inspect
the construction works of the lessee. All deviations from the approved shall be asked to redo. Damages
done but not limited to existing utilities, viroc wall partitions, neutral piers, aircon fascia, and common
area, by the lessee, whether accidental of intentional, shall be repaired by Administration office and
corresponding expenses shall be charged to lessee. Hangers and supports of lessee’s ceiling and
utilities (pipes, ducts, etc.) shall not be attached or anchored to the mall’s existing utilities and concrete
beams or columns. Lessee shall attach their hangers only to concrete slab soffits. Do not cover or block
the return air passages and grills of aircon system. Do not cover or block stubouts (cleanouts, water
source, exhaust, sewer, drainage, etc.) when not needed. Instead, said stubouts shall be free of
obstructions and easily accessible. All approved plans shall be present at the work site at all times.
LESSEE shall request in writing to SM-EDD thru Mall administration for technical inspection of the leased
