KALINYAG fused from two Hiligaynon words, KALIDAD which

means quality and KAANYAG which means attractive; it was on

November 2015 as DPA celebrates her 68 th year when Mr. Gil T.
Buenaventura, one of the school’s administrators founded the very first
KALINYAG event to mark the history of Dancalan Private Academy,
Inc. It was then that the occurrence became one of the much-awaited
events by the Dancalanons and nearby communities to witness.

KALIDAD and KAANYAG these are the two key words that composed
the Kalinyag Performing Arts. KALIDAD NGA TALENTO which is
enchanted by literary and musical showdown reveals and delivers
uniqueness through the eminence of different performances amongst the
DPAnians. While, KAANYAG which is represented by beautiful,
attractive and exceptional muses and consorts who will then be reigning
as HARI kag REYNA for the school year is the climax of the program.

Dancalan Private Academy, Inc. existence molded quality education

through the development of the head, heart and hand. On her several
years of being in the pedestal of talents, a much fiercer DPAnian is ready
to conquer the advance and challenging vicissitudes in the society. DPA
is determined to continue in providing throughout the continent holistic
individuals who are globally competitive; her thrusts on the curriculum
to incline arts in the aspect of academic to achieve highly determined
learners who are cognitively and effectively refined, precipitated her to
draw the ideals of KALINYAG.

This year, KALINYAG with a theme, MAKAKALIKASAN, from the

four core values of DepEd.
“KALINYAG: Fostering Love for Mother Earth in the Modern Era”,
which will show the love, care and story of our Mother Nature.
Hence, let us all raise and relish, “Kari sa DPA, kay sa DPA may
