While guests visit Santa Claus, they can also meet some of the African penguins that live in Sea Life Caverns. Marine Life staff will have some of WEMs feathered residents at North Pole Place. North Pole Place, Level One, Phase I, in front of The Bay, 1 to 3 p.m.

MARIO TOUR AND CHARACTER APPEARANCE

Mario is warping to West Edmonton Mall! Mall guests can be among the first to play the new Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 on the Nintendo 3DS and be photographed with Mario himself. Mario will be making his way around the Mall, so shoppers are encouraged to stop him and say hi! Throughout Mall, 11 a.m.

LIONS SENIOR BAND PERFORMANCE

West Edmonton Mall guests can enjoy a holiday program performed by the Lions Senior Band. NewCap Radio Stage (Level One, Phase IV), 2 p.m.

FASHIONS NIGHT OUT PRESENTED BY THE BAY

The Bay, West Edmonton Mall, is hosting this free fashion event that will showcase new brands and holiday fashions available at their location. Guests will enjoy a fashion show, have the opportunity to try new, holiday makeup colours from The Bays beauty counters, and meet and mingle with Western Canada Fashion Week designers who will be in attendance to share their inspiration and collections. EDMONTON FIREFIGHTERS CALENDAR LAUNCH

The 2012 Turn up the Heat Firefighters Calendar is on sale! Your $20 purchase of the calendar goes to support The Firefighters Burn Treatment Unit 3C2 at the University of Alberta Hospital. All 12 of the firefighters featured in the 2012 edition will be on-site to sign your calendar. Level One, Phase I, in front of Chapters, 11 a.m.
