Business/Materials Lesson Objectives
- This is how you start a country - - Students will have the knowledge of the smallest country in
Sealand - Nas Daily (YouTube) the world (history, geography)
- TV - Student will know how a country was born and how it is
- Cine-projector functioned.

Warm-up and Objective Discussion

- The student will be asked these questions:

+ What is your definition of a country?

+ In your opinion, what are the difficulties that a country may face?

Students will take turns giving brief opinions after spontaneously thinking.

Instruct

After watching the video, the teacher and students will discuss the article (name, overview, etc.).

- To understand the article, students will need to know the activities that they have to do during class
time: listening, analyzing, evaluating, etc.

- Students will be shown how Sealand was born and how it is functioned.

Model

Allow students to try using the information before modeling my example in the deductive approach
and demonstrating the practice exercise questions as examples.

- Students will be guided to answer these questions in the handout application:

+ Where is Sealand?

+ What is the main content of this video?

+ What are the things that a country (especially Sealand) needs to have to run?

+ What attitudes does the author have?

Bonus questions: What difficulties does a country, which is surrounded all sides by the the ocean,
have to face?

Less - guided practice

- The teacher will divide the class into four groups and let them take note the important information
that they reckon that is vital.

- Next, students will exchange their answer

Students will present in front of the classmates about today's lesson in 5-7 minutes. Here
are some suggestions:
- Is Sealand an independent country?
- What are the things that a country (especially Sealand) needs to have to run?
- Is there a jail in Sealand? If it has, how many prisoners does it have?
- How can visitors travel to Sealand?
- Is Sealand under the sea level?
- How can you describe Sealand in one word?

- The teacher will assign homework with a similar newspaper text. The requirements will be the same
