ABSTRACT

This study is to determine the Level of Knowledge in Welding Equipment inside the

Laboratory. It aimed to assess the level of knowledge among Grade Eleven Shielded Metal

Arc Welding (SMAW) students at Binalbagan National High School. The study population

consisted of thirty-three (33) students, representing the entire Grade Eleven SMAW

population. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire and analyzed using statistical

measures. The study utilized a standardized survey questionnaire. It is a descriptive type of

quantitative research. The result of this study found out that the Grade Eleven SMAW

students at Binalbagan National High School possess an average level of knowledge in

welding equipment inside the laboratory. The findings show the mean rating of 2.91 and

standard deviation of 1.70 interpreted as average level of knowledge. Between range of age

16-17 with the mean rating of 2.93 and standard deviation 1.71 was interpreted as average

level possess a higher knowledge than the age 18-19 with the mean rating of 2.91 and

standard deviation of 1.71 even it was also interpreted as average level of knowledge. The

study highlights the importance of continuous improvement and support in enhancing the

students' knowledge and skills in welding equipment (Benito, 2021). Recommendations

include implementing hands-on practical sessions, providing updated equipment and

instructional materials, and offering professional development opportunities for teachers. In

conclusion, the study provides valuable insights into the level of knowledge in welding

equipment inside the laboratory among Grade Eleven SMAW students. The findings

emphasize the need for ongoing efforts to enhance the students' knowledge and skills in

welding equipment, ensuring their preparedness for future careers in the field.
