Permit endorsement
1 Required permits need to be issued by ITMOM as per TIL request. Telford shall submit all required
procedures and RA. ITMOM to issue, Vehicle entry authorization and hot work certificates.
Mobilization, Certification & Preparation work
2.1 Material mobilization. All the Material and Equipment shall be used according to the TIL Procedures and
approved by the ITMOM.
2.2 Certification of tools and tackles according to job requirements

2.3 Install barricading and necessary signboards.
2.4 Crane and forklift access shall be made by barrication
2.5 Inspect existing electrical connection and install portable DB boxes required for carrying out the job.

Pre-fabrication of supports and piping


All The pipe supports & spools which can be prefabricated using the initial site survey reports will be
3. prefabricated using Telford’s workshop facility and manpower. If any on site modifications are required for
the prefabricated supports and pipe spool, the same will be done at ITM O&M site by following all the site
safety rules.
Scaffolding installation
4. Scaffolding will be erected as per requirement. After the completion of each area scaffolding will be moved
to another area and after completion of the job, the scaffolding will be dismantled and housekeeping will do.
5. Insulation and cladding removal
Cladding will be removed from the pipe using hand tools and stored in a designated area. After that, the
insulation will be removed. During the both stages, all relevant PPE’s to be worn and extreme care to be
given for restricting the unauthorized entry. All the removed materials should be stored in a designated area

for further use.


Alignment of pipelines
6. The safety valve and associated fittings will be aligned to proper position for further structural jobs. This
should be done by ITM O&M Maint. Dept.
Installation / welding of pipe supports and painting
All the supports, shoes, Trunions and structures will be installed and welded as per design and site conditions.
7. The welding will be done as per WPS and standard procedure. Pre-heating and post heating will be done on
weld joints as per WPS and PWHT procedure. All structures will be painted as per standard requirement and
procedures.
Inspection of welding joints and supports
8. All the welding joints will be inspected by ITM O&M representatives as per standard procedure.RT or any
other inspections should be coordinated and performed by ITM O&M Maint. Dept.
Re-instating of insulation and cladding
Upon successful NDT test, the pipe will be covered by insulation and cladding materials as per existing. .

During the both stages, all relevant PPE’s to be worn and extreme care to be given for restricting the
unauthorized entry.
Scaffolding removal and housekeeping activities
The waste materials will be segregated and moved to ITM O&M waste storage area. Scaffoldings will be

removed upon Telford request. All the materials including tools, waste, scrap metals, scaffolding will be
removed from work area upon completion.
Final inspection& Permit closing.
11. Final inspection will be done in coordination with maintenance dept. up on getting satisfactory results; permit
shall be closed on Work acceptance by ITMOM.
