REFLECTION

Retreat is very memorable for me. Even though I was not born Catholic, but
during the homily, my moral and spiritual changed. Besides, I enjoyed the ambiance of
the retreat place which is perfect for reflection.

I was deeply moved by songs rendered during the event. The singing soothes my
heart and soul as the group began to commence the activity. The retreat master led us to
reflect while music was played in the background.

As the activity continued, I became aware of the virtues that I must acquire. These
virtues are essential in my daily Christian life. Faith, as the theological virtue, is the
foundation of hope and love. I believe that my faith enables me to follow God’s
commandments. Through the retreat, I was able to renew my faith in God. I confessed all
my sins so I will be worthy of worshipping and honoring him.

Another virtue that I can relate to is prudence. I learned to become more prudent
when it comes to mending broken relationships, building trust and dealing with difficult
conversations. I also need to practice temperance in the face of worldly temptation. I
know it is hard to sustain but mine is a work on progress.

Lastly, I learned the virtues of patience and perseverance. This is quite tough
things to practice in life because I am a weakling oftentimes. I am hot tempered yet
because of the activity I realized how important it is to patiently wait and work hard to
attain what I am aiming for.
I have learned a lot from the activity especially the confession which is really the
culminating part of the activity. I admitted my sinfulness and I felt renewed.
