DATA EXTRACTS
A total of three (3) data extracts (figure 1 to Figure 5)
• Seabed topography (DTM)
• Seabed features
2. Introduction
For safe approach of a rig to SFNY 243/248, a Platform Debris Survey was conducted to
provide 200m coverage around the platform on 01 August 2021 by survey vessel KARAN-
8. Data was collected by the T50R MBES and Klein 3000 Side Scan Sonar.
3. Survey Results
The results and the data examples presented in the following sections are based on the
observations made at the time of the survey and intended to serve as a comprehensive
view of the seabed in the immediate vicinity of a specific platform to ensure safe
operations of Jack-Up Rigs and barges around that platform.
3.1 All the water depths referred to within this report were reduced to LAT by using
Saudi Aramco predicted tide table SFNY Pier and SFNY 312/317.
• Minimum water depth: 16.0m (343m @ 330° from Platform’s reference point)
• Maximum water depth: 21.8m (73m @ 353° from Platform’s reference point)
The platform stands in a shallow gulley with shallower water to the north and south.
Maximum water depth is observed within the leg rig depression pattern at north face
of the platform with depths up to 21.8m (LAT).
An extensive area of rig leg depressions exists at the North face of the platform. The
most prominent depressions are listed in table 3.

Reporting criteria: Depressions greater than 0.5m depth and within 100m distance from the reference
point.
Table 3. Observed Depressions
Two Debris items were observed north of the platform and no other significant debris
were identified on the approach to the north face of the platform.
A multitude of minor debris items were observed such as tires scattered across the site
particularly in the southern half of the surveyed area.
SFNY 243/348 AP is positioned 25m south from the main SFNY 243/248 platform. Two
pipelines exit the main platform from the west face, one continuing due west the
other exiting the area to the southwest. One power cable enters the south face of the
AP coming from a westerly direction. An anode cable bundle exists the AP south face
with a fan of six anodes 110 – 150m south from the platform.
• 6 anode sled.
