Introduction:
This report contains the details of the debris recovery operation carried out by DP II Mermaid Asiana on North face of SFNY-243/248
Platform
The debris items were identified from the seabed survey report carried out by survey vessel KARAN-8 on the 1 August 2021, Data
was collected by the T50R MBES and Klein 3000 Side Scan Sonar under SWO: 8000638211(211344).
The report details the recovery of one linear debris item was identified to the North of the platform as per detailed in below table.

Scope of Work:
The vessel DP II DSV Mermaid Asiana was tasked to undertake debris removal at SFNY-243/248 Platform where two events of debris
(possibly hazardous to the upcoming barge /Rig move), have been identified at North Face of the platform according to the client
seabed survey report carried out by survey vessel KARAN 8.
The debris item has to be removed as per the client’s instruction.
Task Planning and Safety:
 All work was carried out in accordance with ZMOS and Saudi Aramco Integrated Management System (IMS).
 Vessel management as per ZMOS and Saudi Aramco Fleet Management System (FMS) and Manuals.
 All work was carried out under the Saudi Aramco PTW system.
 PTW formalities were completed in co-ordination with SFNY field services.
 Toolbox talks and JSA were performed in accordance with Saudi Aramco Safety Management System (SMS).
 All ZMOS personnel were equipped with appropriate safety gear and protective clothing.

Sequence of Events:

28th September 2021


 DSV DPII Mermaid Asiana arrives on-location and start debris recovery operation at 18:45 by utilizing the ROV & SAT divers
onboard.
 The ROV identified the debris as a large tire and a very large section of cap rock at same coordinates supplied by
proponent.
 The SAT diver rigged the tire using soft slings and then recovered to Asiana’s deck.

The below table & drawing supplied by seabed survey report shows the location for debris required to be located and
removed at North side of SFNY-243/248 Platform:
