Advice for travelling

Travelling and holidays are wonderful, but they can bring some
problems. We asked three people for their advice. Let’s see what they say.

MALIA: When you visit a city, always download a map of the city

transport as well as a street map. It’s easier to check train and bus times on

your phone. Also, check your hotel has everything you need. I went to

a hotel that didn’t have parking last year. The place I parked in was really

expensive so next time, I’m going to check that before I book a room.

DAMIAN: Don’t spend too much time looking for information on the internet

before your trip. I think it’s better to look for places when you arrive.

Last year, I went to Tokyo and walked around without a plan. I found some

great restaurants! Remember to think carefully about what you’re

going to wear, too. I always take a jacket and jumper because many places

get cold at night, even in the summer.

SUZANNA: I really enjoy planning holidays. I think everyone should make a

list to help them remember what to take. A few years ago, I went on a

walking holiday and I didn’t take my boots. I spent two days trying to find

some new ones!
