Conse nagement Any deviations from the safety requirements, procedures and instructions will be dealt with by consequence management whereby the responsible business partner will be subjected to an investigation and the findings and outcomes actioned accordingly. This may lead to points being awarded against the business partner if so decided. The detailed procedure is available from the HSEC department. Sub-Contracting No subcontracting will be allowed unless so agreed upon prior to the commencing of the work Overtim 7 Its the responsibility of the business partner to ensure that all overtime work is controlled and that none of its employees will work more than 40 hours actual overtime during any month. Any hours more than 40 must be communicated to the relevant coordinator in time for approval. No person may be allowed to work overtime without the supervision of Glencore Lion Smelter employees as well as it being pre-approved. | | | | All invoicing will only be signed off after work has been completed and the relevant Lion Smelter ‘coordinator has inspected the work and signed off the invoice. Safety Meetings Safety meeting/safety talks must be held every morning prior to commencing of the work with proof and a register Reporting of Incidents ALL incidents must be reported immediately to the supervisor and to the maintenance coordinator. Lifting Plans Each task which requires any lifting to be done MUST have a lifting plan as per the lifting plan register book available from the site rigger or the maintenance coordinator. Barricading : Proper neat and secure barricading must be maintained where ever required to ensure people do not access certain areas and to barricade certain materials if so required. The barricading must be maintained every day until itis removed. Special Permits Certain tasks require special permits to continue with the work safely. These include the platform, grating and handrail removal permit, the cutting discs use permit ete. It is the responsibility of the business partner to ensure they understand the requirement and the minimum standards relating to | these tasks. . : 23, ‘Training and Competency Requirements ( on site work ) | All the required training must be completed prior to the business partner being allowed on site to | commence the work. A List of all the required training will be communicated to the business partner after which they need to complete the training and arrange for the assessments to be completed at the | training centre. It stays the responsibility of the business partner to ensure that all his people on site have done the required training and assessments and is found ‘competent. The business partner may be subjected to consequence management if any of his/her people are found not to be competent; he needs to submit the proof of the assessments to the.relevant Engineer who requested the work, t No plea of ignorance will be accepted as a reason for not supplying materials or services as per the ‘Scope of Work. Daily diaries must be kept, and no additional work will be authorised unless the daily diary is signed off by the relevant Coordinator/Supervisor and Superintendent.
