SAFETY OPERATING PROCEDURES

Lift Goods Machine

DO NOT use this machine unless a Leader/Manager has
instructed you in its safe use and operation and has given
permission.

Appropriate footwear with Rings and jewellery must not be

PRE-OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECKS

1. Check workspace and walkways to ensure no slip-hazards are present.
2. Check that the machine in good condition and not faulty.
3. Ensure all Operating items (if used) has been in correct position.
4. Locate and ensure you are familiar with the operation of the ON/OFF starter
and Emergency-Stop (if fitted).
5. Follow correct operating procedures to ensure work is secure.
6. If the job obstructs the walkway erect a barricade.
7. Faulty equipment must not be used. Immediately report suspect equipment.

OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECKS

1. Never enter the yellow box line before the lift arrive at the located floor.
2. Ensure that the lift was fully reached the floor before taking the goods.
3. Ensure only goods was lifted. No human entering the lift.
4. After taking the goods, ensure that the lift locked after using.
5. Keep a distance with care as the Lift machine running other side of the work.
6. Use a safe working posture (beware of hand catching).
7. Always keep alert when operating the machine.

HOUSEKEEPING
1. Switch off the machine.
2. Leave the machine in a safe, clean and tidy state.
