3. CHECK LIST BEFORE START INSTALLATION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.1 Layout and Elevation Drawings

The final layout and GA drawings of the system should be discussed with the Client as per Site
conditions.

3.2 Area Demarcation

The installation Area and the assembly area has to be identified for the smooth flow of installation
and that area should be clearly marked with warning that Work is in progress.

3.3 Site Survey and Floor Marking

The flooring of the warehouse would be checked for flatness and waviness using Leveling
instrument. The assembly of VRC on irregular floor surfaces can pose a Safety Hazard for employees
and materials stored.

The clear height availability needs to be checked before installing the system.

The system need to be installed on a concrete slab and minimum floor slab thickness should be 150
mm to support the grouting of columns/uprights. Floor level variation should not be more than ±5
mm.

Note: Customer should verify the thickness of floor slab with Landlord based on total designed load
and responsible for providing proper cement floor with adequate strength for installation.

Marking of start point as per drawing with reference to Wall / Pillars. Marking of total Layout with
Storage in floor using permanent markers

Level

Mark Center Line Here

Center of Opening
Page | 5
Marking is done by using a thin strong thread / Wire (Line Dori) by stretching it between the end
points marked. This line is marked on the floor & a transparent tape is stuck over it on the floor to
ensure retention of marking on the floor.

3.4 Unloading Of Vehicle / Materials Count & Storeing Material

Site Accessibility: The approach roads for Vehicles to reach the site will be cross checked for receipt
of Materials.

Review and count all materials while unloading and compare them with the Packing List and BOM /
delivery challan to make sure receipt of correct materials at site. Shortages if any will be informed
to plant for necessary replenishment. Inspect the materials to check the damages in transit and
necessary actions will be initiated for replacement if any.

Unloaded material should be stored at nearer position to the site.

Note- Customer should verify this activity.

4. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.1 Point to be noted
 Always use Reflector Jackets as required.
 Do not climb the system without suitable Harness
 Use Material handling equipment like Fork Lift, Hydra etc... wherever possible
 Ensure that the components used for climbing or standing are strong enough to hold the
workmen weight.
 Project Supervisor or engineer has to ensure that the workers thoroughly understand how
components should be handled and assembled. If necessary, checklist to be used.

4.2 Hanging of Chail Pulley Block

Hang the chain pulley block with the help of J hook which is provided by Customer / Existing

Housekeeping Policy

Hazards in onsite work are everywhere. When natural hazards onsite are compounded with
clutter of debris and tools, the hazard level increases, making the likelihood of an incident
increase. A worksite with poor housekeeping procedure creates an environment that is unsafe to
yourself and your co-workers.

Maintaining good housekeeping onsite can reduce the likelihood of accidents and/or incidents
from occurring. The positive effect of good housekeeping practice far outweighs the extra effort.
Everyone onsite must do their part to ensure that the jobsite is clean, orderly, and free of
potential hazards.

The most common injuries that occur on a jobsite, from poor housekeeping, are Slips, Trips, and
Falls. Workers may slip, trip, or fall because of;
• Trash and/or debris
• Misplaced tools or equipment
• Tools and equipment that are not properly coned, barricaded, or caution taped
• As a result, workers could suffer cuts, sprains, broken bones, and severe head injuries.

The employees shall take the following steps to maintain safe onsite work environment;

• Remove debris and trash to create a safe work environment.

• Clean as you work to prevent overload of debris, tools, and equipment.
• Place generated waste into containers, in a designated area.
• Keep pathways clear from obstruction.
• Keep worksite neat and orderly.
• Store tools and equipment out of the way.
• Place protective cones, barricades, and caution tape across areas where workers could
slip, trip, or fall.
• Use sand or drying agent in wet or slippery areas.
• Only work in areas that have proper lighting.

If everyone does their part and works together to ensure that a worksite is clean and orderly,
everyone can feel safer if at the workplace. Make good housekeeping practices a habit to protect
yourself and others from potential injuries.
