4.1 General
The HRU used in EPIRB:TRON60AIS is the same Hydrostatic Release Unit(HRU) used in VDR float free
capsule: NDH-339B, so the HRU used for periodic replacement (every 2 years) is shared with the HRU
replacement kit: 7ZZNA4150 that is already in stock.
Please use 7ZZNA4150 for periodic replacement of HRU for TRON60AIS.

4.2 Information

Information on the shared use of HRU Replacement Kit 7ZZNA4150

1. Revision of HRU Replacement Procedures

The HRU replacement procedure (7ZPNA4608) included in the HRU replacement kit for VDR float free
capsules: 7ZZNA4150 has been revised to 7ZPNA4608A by adding the HRU replacement procedure for
EPIRB:TRON60AIS.
Attached is the HRU replacement procedure for EPIRB:TRON60AIS for 7ZPNA4608A (P.9 English and
P.10 Japanese).
Use the attached replacement procedure if necessary.

2. HRU Replacement Kit: 7ZZNA4150 in stock

As of February 28, we have included the HRU replacement procedure for EPIRB: TRON60AIS in all
7ZZNA4150 HRU replacement kits in stock at Tatsumi office.
Therefore, the 7ZZNA4150s that will be shipped out after March will be shipped with HRU replacement
procedures for both VDR capsules and EPIRBs.

3. Others
The HRU of the EPIRB subject to this case is TRON60AIS shipped for foreign-flagged vessels.
For TRON60AIS-HK, which has already passed the HK certification test, it is necessary to use an HRU that
has passed the HK certification test, so a HK-certified HRU replacement kit is prepared and stocked under a
different model name.
Since the shipment of TRON60AIS HK certification products will start in December 2023, we plan to start
stocking them around the time when HRU periodic replacement is required (around June 2025), and will make
this information known again in the Service News.

TRON60AIS Hydrostatic Release Unit(HRU) replacement

The HRU expires 2 years (in the same month) after installing.
Make sure to mark down the expiry date on the label on
the side of a new HRU before installing it. Expiry month location Expiry year location

For example: Installed in 2024/11 ⇒ Valid until 2026/11

Mark down the expiry date by painting out the numbers with black permanent marker, as shown below.

Follow these steps to replace the HRU:

1. Release and remove FB-60 top cover by removing the locking pin.
Note that the EPIRB can drop out of the FB-60 bracket when releasing the top cover.
Remove the EPIRB from the bracket
2. Press down the spring-loaded bracket plate and remove the HRU by sliding it out of its locking
slot. See the arrow for direction
3. Install a new HRU by pressing down the spring-loaded bracket plate and sliding the HRU into its
locking slot
4. Refit the EPIRB and the bracket top cover.
Be sure that the top cover is locked at the bottom end and replace the locking pin.

Only Jotron HRU kit is acceptable for use. Any use of unoriginal
spare parts will invalidate the product type approval certificates,
and warranty will not apply. It may also compromise your safety.

TRON60AIS の水圧センサ（HRU）の交換手順

水圧センサの有効期限は装備から 2 年後（同月）となります。
新しい水圧センサを設置する前に必ず側面のラベルに
有効期限（年月）をマーキングしてください 有効期限月の位置 有効期限年の位置

例： 2024 年 11 月装備 ⇒ 2026 年 11 月まで有効

有効期限を下記のように黒色の油性ペンで下側の数字を塗りつぶしてください。

以下の手順で HRU を交換してください。

1. ロックピンを外して、FB-60 のトップカバーを取り外します。トップカバーを外す際に、EPIRB が FB-60
のブラケットから脱落する可能性がありますのでご注意ください。ブラケットから EPIRB を外します。
2. バネ式のブラケットプレートを押し下げ、ロックスロットから HRU をスライドさせて外します。
方向は矢印を参照してください。
3. 新しい HRU を取り付けるには、バネ式のブラケットプレートを押し下げ、HRU をロックスロットに
スライドさせます。
4. EPIRB とブラケットのトップカバーを取り付けます。トップカバーの下端がロックされていることを
確認し、ロックピンを元に戻します。

JOTRON 社の HRU キットのみ使用可能です。純正品ではないスペアパーツを使用し

た場合、製品の型式承認証明書が無効になり、保証が適用されません。
また、安全性が損なわれる恐れがあります。
