My first job was with the Commercial Bank of Africa, and within my first two years, I was promoted

from
Branch Operations Assistant to Prime Teller, which collectively demonstrated my efficiency and
leadership skills. While working in the Retail Banking Department, I increased customer satisfaction by
15% and optimized work processes that reduced complaints by 50%.

As a Product Development Officer in the Corporate Banking Department of NCBA Bank Kenya, I oversaw
the development of new products, including coordinating new products with the respective
departments. I managed to minimize the significant errors of reconciliation differences by 70% and
maximize the effectiveness of these kinds of processes by 80%; therefore, I am confident in my ability to
apply such methods as data analysis and problem-solving, which may help improve NC University

's results.

As the Assistant Manager of the Trade Finance Middle Office at NCBA Bank Kenya, I oversee and handle
risks and compliance, products, and clients. I equally participate in preparing compliance and regulations
for local and international transactions, developing trade finance products, and assessing portfolios for
tactical consideration. This work has complemented the growth of my other competencies regarding
finance controls, following rules and regulations, and managing business operations.

Apart from the banking job, I own a MettyGleam Cleaning Services company. I have gained a lot from
this entrepreneurial experience, especially from the managerial side. I am well equipped to manage time
and resources and know how to negotiate with people, among others. After my full-time job, I utilize the
evening hours to confirm that the team's work meets the client's expectations, and I also do digital
marketing. I got even more adoration of my entrepreneurial talent after being selected for mentorship
under the USAID & Brighter Monday e-Biz Kwa Vijani Project cohort 2. This program assisted me in
creating more and varied customers in the sphere of online marketing.

The GA program at the NC University Jenkins MBA is extensive and challenging and requires an excellent
academic record, management skills, and leadership skills. I have educational training in economics
finance and experience in business management. I have always been an outstanding student and can
face challenges in this position when they occur. I have skills in analyzing extensive data, project
management, and administrative work, which qualifies me to undertake duties related to a GA.

Nevertheless, as a currently enrolled full-time MBA student with nine or more credit hours per term, I
shall accept to maintain a GPA of at least 3. I am a hard-working student who can cope with academic
conditions and become a leader, which the GA program is designed to help create. Thus, due to my
ability to multitask and my passion for my job, along with active participation in different activities and
organizations, I am in a position to benefit from this diverse community of North Carolina State
University as well as develop my leadership and discoveries within the vast and constantly evolving area
of business.
I am willing and able to use and enhance the personal and professional experience and learnings from
the Jenkins MBA program to ensure that my overall MBA experience is constructive, progressive, and
purposeful in the Graduate Assistantship. As a result of the contribution I make to the faculty and staff, I
gain the same constructive outcome.
