General Instructions:
1. Holiday Homework is compulsory for all students. It is designed to ensure the incorporation of
all the four skills i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing.
2. It is a part of subject enrichment and will be assessed on the basis of creativity and effort
of the student.
3. Listen to the English news channel(s), converse in English and spend quality time reading good books.
4. Revise the syllabus covered so far.
5. Learn the meanings and spelling of the difficult words from the literature chapters that you have
covered so far.

Task1: Watch the movie ‘I, Robot’ written by Isaac Asimov and directed by Alex Proyas.
Writing My Own Adventure: A Journey as a Protagonist--Imagine yourself as a unique
character embodying the role of a robot in a story entitled 'I, Robot,'. Describe in detail the
characteristics, abilities, and personality traits of this robot character. Furthermore, outline the
specific tasks and responsibilities you would aspire to undertake within the narrative of the story.
Consider how your robot character would interact with other characters, navigate challenges, and
contribute to the overall plot development. Feel free to incorporate creative elements and
personal insights into your portrayal of the robot character.
Material Required:
A lightweight, sturdy material for the kite frame (such as bamboo sticks)
A large sheet of thin, strong paper or plastic for the kite sail
String or twine for the kite line
Paper fasteners or tape
Markers or coloured pencils
A pair of scissors
Optional: googly eyes, stickers, or other decorations
Task 3: Read any one of the books from the list given below and create the following items:
(a) Comic Strip: Create a comic strip based on your favourite scene/passage from the selected
book. You may use bubbles or balloons and write the dialogues in them. The purpose of this task
is to let you display your understanding of the book in a fun, creative and challenging way.
OR
(b) Book Cover: Make a cover of the book you have read.
Given below is a list of recommended books. Choose any one from each category. Keep a
dictionary and search for the difficult words.
