SOP for operation of passenger vehicle


Before operating a passenger vehicle, the driver should ensure to check the following.

1 Passenger vehicles should be operated only by authorized persons.


2 Walk around the passenger vehicle to detect any damage.
3 Clean the wind screen with a suitable cloth/material.
4 Check service and parking brakes for efficiency.
5 Check the seat belts of each seat provided in the passenger vehicle.
6 Check whether the audio visual alarm is working normally.
7 Make sure the fire extinguishing system is working normally.
8 Make sure all safety equipment is in good working order.
9 Make sure the emergency exit door is opening and closing properly.
10 Make sure there are no warning lights visible on the dash board.
11 Fill and sign the checklist available in the vehicle. Notify supervisor if checklist is not available.
12 If any warning signal appears in the dash board do not operate the machine, stop the machine on
for rectification.
13 Ensure queue of employees while boarding the passenger vehicle.
14 Do not allow more than the prescribed number of employees in a passenger vehicle.
15 Make sure every employee is wearing a seat belt.
16 Operate the hooter/horn before starting to drive the passenger vehicle.
