A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A MUNICIPAL YOUTH AFFAIRS OFFICE
IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CONCEPCION, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL AND
PROVIDING FUNDS THEREAT

WHEREAS, to ensure that the voices of youth are more systematically integrated
across the United Nations system, underlining the important role of youth in the
promotion of peace and security, sustainable development and human rights and the
importance of the full, effective, constructive and inclusive participation of youth in
decision-making;

WHEREAS, reaffirming the importance of involving youth and youth-led and youth-
focused organizations in the municipality;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Youth Development Council dedicated an office for youth
affairs with sufficient financial and human resources to cater the needs of the youths ;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of _____ duly seconded by ________________.

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED designating the office located at Purok

Purok 1, Poblacion, Concepcion, Misamis Occidental as the MUNICIPAL YOUTH
AFFAIRS OFFICE to function as follows, to wit:

a. Lead engagement and advocacy for the advancement of youth issues in

the municipality, in the barangays for the promotion of peace and
security, sustainable development and human rights;
b. Promote meaningful, inclusive and effective engagement of youth and
youth-led and youth-focused organizations in the municipality, working
in close collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK);
c. As a center for collaboration, coordination and accountability on the
advancement of youth issues, and in promoting the effective and
meaningful engagement, participation and empowerment of youth;
d. Engage with youth-focused envoys, representatives and offices of
regional organizations on advancing youth issues;
e. Propose innovative approaches to advance multi-stakeholder initiatives
on the engagement and empowerment of youth, for the consideration of
Municipal Youth Development Council;
f. Promote and facilitate dialogue, collaboration and solidarity;
g. Support efforts to enhance youth representation at the municipality,
including through increasing and improving the conditions of internships
and employment opportunities for youth, especially for youth from
developing countries and with due regard to gender balance;

h. Support ongoing efforts towards the mobilization of financial and

technical support and investment to promote and upscale quality and
inclusive education and training, skills development, capacity-building
and bridging the digital divide, in tandem with job creation, for youth and
creating an enabling environment for harnessing their talents and
abilities to contribute to their societies;
i. Conduct outreach to youth and youth-led and youth-focused
organizations, through innovative means, including the use of social
media;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this APPROVED LOCAL YOUTH ANTI-

POVERTY AGENDA FOR CY 2022 shall be furnished to other concerned agencies in
the Municipality of Concepcion, Misamis Occidental for information and appropriate
action.
