We conducted a community clean up drive with the theme of “BPED BAYANIHAN, LINIS
PANTALAN” our project aimed to improve the neighborhood, raise environmental
awareness, and encourage community and university’s involvement. On day 1 at 8 in the morning, we gathered on BPSU Campus B to buy and prepare some materials that we need for our implementation. We are divided into two groups to make the preparations easier. The first group bought materials such as a garbage bin, while the second group were assigned to print and create a signage. While we are preparing, we are also filming and taking some pictures for documentation. On Day 2, we put our project proposal into action. We were divided into smaller groups and given specific areas in the community to clean up. The cleanup drive focused on the fishpond or the Pantalan River. We diligently collected various types of litter, such as plastic bottles, cans, and plastic bags. This project had a significant impact on us because we not only felt satisfied with a cleaner environment, but we also learned valuable lessons. We learn about the project’s goals, the impact of litter on the community, and the significance of environmental responsibility.
