3D Grooming Artist - Senior

Level: Senior
Department: Asset Creation
Type of Position: Full-Time Contract
Office Location: Bali

Key Areas of responsibilities:

• Create hair, fur and/or feather grooms for characters as assigned by the production/supervisor.
• Collaborate with other departments involved in the workflow - Modelling, Rigging, Animation and Lighting.
• Producing render tests of the groom as it progresses.
• Efficient in time management in order to hit deadline.
• Good at self QC to minimize back and forth during approval process.
• Meeting set schedules and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards.
• Assist/guide groomers in the organization of their assignments if needed.
• File management - organize work/files efficiently.

Required Experience/Professional Skills:

• Previous 5 years experience in a similar role
• Previous 5 years experience on CG creature projects
• A thorough knowledge of Maya
• Good problem-solving skills
• An appreciation of both the aesthetic and technical requirements of the role
• A good eye for detail
• A strong work ethic, and a willingness to be involved in both development and shot execution
• The ability to work as part of a team in a challenging and deadline orientated environment
• A good understanding of pipeline and workflow issues
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise across departments
• Willing to relocate to Bali
