Some people think that politicians have the greatest
influence on the world. Other people, however,
believe that scientists have the greatest influence. Discuss both of views and give your opinion. your opinion.
It is thought by some that central leaders produce enormous
outcomes on globe while others hold a firm belief that scientific researchers exert more significant influence. In the following essay, I am going to shed light on both perspective, prior to stating that the role of scientific inventor and policy- maker are of equal measure.
On the one hand, there are several undeniable benefits of
scientific research on mankind since the dawn of human civilization. First and foremost, technological advancements can help to change human lifestyle in numerous areas, ranging from household applicants, communication devices to medical equipment. As a result, those innovative machines not only replace human labor, boost work productivity but also enhance human’s living standard. To illustrate, in production process, professionally-designed devices can substitute the manual labor, and at the same time, the foster work efficiency which eventually enhance the economic progress, so human beings can enjoy life to the fullest. Furthermore, scientific discovery can provide the global citizen with deeper insight about every aspect of life, which can explain the causes of incidence or mysterious phenomenon since the early days.
On the other hand, despite the above-mentioned tremendous
roles of expert, that of national leader are equally significant. Firstly, the most outstanding factor of policy-maker is that they have supreme power and resources in order to make the final decision about the progress and prosperity of the nation, including education, culture, economy and even national autonomy. Additionally, on a larger scale, national governor is able to exert enormous effect across border. A vast majority of the science researches heavily depends on the national funding and obviously, without state’s sponsorship, the technological discovery is unable to be conducted.
To conclude, I reaffirm that the notwithstanding inevitable
role of researchers, I would contend that that of the policymaker is of equal measure, thanks to the prime power in deciding the progress of a nation, the effect on other countries as well as the financial support to the scientific discovery.
