RSA SecurID Soft Token Enablement

This procedure allows you to replace your RSA SecurID hard token (key fob) with an application on
your smart mobile device that provides you a soft token code for logging onto EY resources –
eliminating your need to carry a hard token.

Important Note! Performing this task will disable your hard token (key fob) and require
you to utilize your mobile device to connect to EY resources. If you work in a location, or
client site, that does not allow you to carry your mobile device, you should NOT continue
with this procedure.

Terminology

Hard Token: Your physical RSA SecurID device that

generates your token code.

Soft token: Your token code generated through an

application on your smart mobile device.

PIN (Personal Identification Number) code: An 8 character

personal code you created. The PIN code + the 6 digit hard
or soft token code is your passcode when logging into EY
resources (i.e.: EYRC, Corporate WiFi)

Prerequisites
1. You must be an existing RSA user with a SecurID hardware token.
2. You must be logged onto the EY Network to access the RSA SecurID Self Service Portal,
either hard wired or through Corportate WiFi in an EY office or remotely using EYRC.
3. The smart mobile device -that is used for soft token enablement must be an iOS or Android
device (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Samsung).

Process to enable soft token on your mobile device

Making the switch to a soft token is a one-time process. The following is the flow of activities you will

Important Note! You must be logged onto the EY network and have your hard token and
mobile device with data service or WIFI, to perform this process. Your mobile device
must also have a working camera.

To download the mobile app, please go to the Access the RSA Self Service Portal that aligns
app store for your device - Apple App Store or to your global region. If you are unsure of what
Google Play Store and search for the RSA region you are in, click here.

Log into Self Service Portal with RSA User ID
and your current Passcode (PIN + Token Code).

Click “Replace Token” button. This screen explains how to use your RSA
SecurID application. Please read carefully and
then click “Display QR Code.”

Establish a new PIN for your mobile device,
confirm your PIN, then click “Submit”.

Important Note! Please take time to

read the instructions to ensure that you

You should receive an “Import Successful”
confirmation on your PC. Click the “OK”
button.
Return your hard token to your local office
support staff.
It is important for the firm to recover your hard
token given their monetary value to EY. Please
contact your local OSS support to determine
the best way to return your hard token – via
mail or physically dropping it off.

Important Note! Do not click the “X” to

close this window. Click the “Ok”
button.

Step 10

On your PC, the “Test your Token” screen will

automatically appear. Enter your PIN + token
code generated by the RSA SecurID app on
your mobile device.

Click “Test Login.”

Once you authenticate successfully, you are

finished with importing your software token
and your mobile device should be enabled –
generating a new token code every 60
seconds.
