The provided illustrations provide detailed information about electric power

was manufactured in two surveyed countries from three principle energy

sources. Overall, Germany was heavily reliant on coal to generate electricity,
nuclear power was the most used source of energy in France. In addition,
another worth-noting information was that biomass and wind is the main
source of energy for generating almost a vast majority of electricity in the
former. However, the latter recorded the highest quantity of hydroelectric.

In terms of, the total amount of electric power was manufactured in two
countries in 2009, Germany generated more electricity than France, accounting
for respectively 560 billion and 510 billion. Noticeably, meanwhile conventional
thermal was the main source of energy to generate electric power in Germany
with 60%, France primarily consumed nuclear power in electricity
manufacturing process, reaching more than three quarters. Both countries also
consumed renewable energy relatively similar amount in the electricity
industry, from 14% to 17%. By contrast, nuclear in Germany was used double
compared to conventional thermal in France, with the former making up nearly
a fifth and the latter reaching just a tenth.

Moving to renewable energy, while Germany mainly depended on biomass and

wind, with a comparatively equal amount in electricity production, total
quantity approximately three quarters, another country reliant on
hydroelectric, reaching 85%. However, hydroelectric was close to a fifth, triple
that of traditional thermal in Germany. Furthermore, 20% of the remaining
amount of electricity in France was energy which generated from wind and
biomass, making up 10% of each. There is no country used geothermal energy in
2009
