➢ Explain your thinking (Why this phrase would make a sense start saying)

➢ Sentence- Revise your old sentence by replacing the old idiom with your new idea

Duration of each activity: 2 hrs

Multiple Intelligence focused: Verbal, visual and writing.

Criteria of assessment: Presentation, grammar and sentence structure.

Activity: Acids, Bases and pH Scale

Learning Objective: Read a pH strip and identify items as acidic, basic or neutral, identify acids,
bases and neutral items correctly

Duration: 2 hours

Instructions:
TASK 1: Design your own pH scale on an A4 sheet. Include 10 substances on it and label them.

TASK 2: Prepare a greeting card by following the steps given below:

Step 1- Take a sheet of plain white paper and fold it in half to form the shape of a card.

2. What does turmeric act as in this experiment ?
3. How can this experiment be modified to make the shapes colourless?

Assessment Criteria: Creation, Design and Analysis

Learning Objectives:Learners will be able to identify the compounds and the formula used for the
compound. Learners will also be able to calculate the individual and total atomic mass and also
calculate the percent of the individual elements.

List of the activities planned: list out 5 more compounds and its formula and fit in the blank columns.

Duration of each activity: 4 hours

Instructions for doing the activities : One example has been done for you. Calculate other columns
accordingly.

Find the Total number of atoms of the compound, find the ratio of the molecules, write the number of atoms
element wise individually, then find the percent individually.
