Dear my Dearest Daisy,

I think about you everyday and how our life could have been together. I think about you

everyday and wish you were here right beside me. I remember my first throughout of coming

back from the war and seeing that you were marrying Tom Buchannan, the thoughts rushed to

my head of if our love was ever true or not, ot if you truly loved me. I was wondering “Why would

she”, “how could she”, and all my emotions came rushing towards me. Everything hit me at that

moment. The memory if when we first met, and I was in my uniform, and laid eyes on you

beautiful Daisy. We danced in the light of a singular lit candle, and I knew from then on I wasn't

going to stay away from you. You deserve everything in the world, and I can give that to you,

you dont belong with Tom you belong with me. You are perfection, and grace, elegant, you light

up the room anywhere you go. Thats the kind of person you are. I will treat you right my dearest

Daisy, better than any man ever could. I was swept away from you to soon, and was always

waiting for you, and still am my love. I wish you a life full of happiness and joy, and I hope you

know I am always here for you. Im always waiting. I hope this letter finds you well someday.

With Love,

Jay Gatsby

I chose to write a letter from Gatsby to Daisy because throughout the movie and the book

Gatsby's love for Daisy never faded, and this was the theme throughout it. Daisy was a women

of wealth and had class, and in Gatsby's eyes that was his dream girl, which was surrounded

around the book.
